I added a simple and rough function called k0nsl_show_url() which is to be used in templates.

Usage:

<h2>Short URL:</h2>
        <p><?php echo k0nsl_show_url(); ?></p>

This will produce a short URL in the paragraph tags – seemingly, the function can be used anywhere in your themes files, not just the templates.
