Hi there … we do have the need (or better said: a customer, who wants this), to allow each Backend User to choos an own Backend Language.
Before programming that by myself I thought, I’d ask here, wether this is “on the roadmap” for this Plugin?

Your site has no hreflang tags.
Google uses hreflang tags to match the user’s language preference to the right variation of your pages.

Just wondering why they want a hreflang tag when I have this:

Is that not enough?

Hello Bernhard,
There are several backend localization plugins for WordPress, but yours does exactly what I want, without any (for me) unnecessary extras. By the way, it also works fine for the currently latest WP version, 4.2.2.
Thank you!
I have a small issue with the naming. Not a big deal, really, but I trust you will understand my problem and it will also be a small thing for you to fix.
This is what it is about. I just wanted to verify a setting, a month or so after I installed the plugin, but I could not find the plugin settings page anymore. Why was that? Because in the WP backend Settings menu you should look for a different name, not “Backend Localization”, but “Native Dashboard”.
I think this is unnecessarily confusing and it would be nice if you could change it.
By the way, I also think that “Native Dashboard” is not a good name. Many people will want to use the plugin for exactly the opposite: frontend in their native language but the dashboard in standard US English, so that their dashboard terminology is the same as in the most important support fora.
Best regards,
Henk Barreveld

Everything ok with your plugin?

Hi there,
First of all, thank you for your plugin. It is very handy, very easy to configure.
I wanted to know if it was possible to hide the flags that can be found in the WordPress menu on the left hand side? I indeed have quite a few plugins installed and I would like to limit the number of items found in this menu.
Kind regards,
Denis

Hi,
I find this plugin very useful.
But, since upgrading to WP4.0, I have to switch to my preferred language (by clicking the language name in the main admin menu) every time I log in. The setting in Settings->Backend Language is still set to my preference, but it does not seem to be honored upon login.

How can I fix this?
Thanks.

Do I assume this is a WP version problem?
