I wish you guys started developing kitchenbug again.

]]>Hello there –
The Kitchenbug plugin will be an excellent addition to my blog and i so want it however, whenever i go in to download, im told it is not compatible with my current version of WordPress. I want to know when to expect an update on kitchen bug so it can be compatible with my current version of worpress or if you can recommend a different plugin with similar features. Im looking for a plug in that will populate the nutritional content of foods for my recipes. Thank you in advance for your response.
I am using wordpress 4.1.1 with HeatMap AdApative theme and just installed kitchenbug When I open the recipe tab there is nowhere to create a new recipe
]]>Hello,
I have some questions about this plugin.
1) Is there a way to display more detailed nutritional information such as what we can see in this website:
https://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/dairy-and-egg-products/27/2
2) In the description, it is say “Automatic recipe analysis is currently only available in English”. Is is possible to add a new language ? If not would this feature be feasible ?
3) Which database is used for nutritional information ?
Regards,
Cédric
]]>The last few months, I’ve had problems getting the plugin to create a new recipe. It sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries, with my losing everything I typed in because I get a spinning circle that simply won’t stop, and I have to refresh the page. In the past, I was always able to get it to work on the 2nd or 3rd try.
I’ve tried at least 6 times since last night to create a recipe and it won’t let me. I then went to the Kitchenbug site and created the recipe there, thinking it would show up in my drop down list and I could simply select it, but the site and plugin don’t seem to be connected.
Can you get this fixed or do I need to delete your plugin and start over? And if I do, is there a way to export the recipes so I can import them into a new plugin?
]]>Love this plugin. When I display the sample recipe that I entered, I’m not seeing the drop down menu to switch from US to Metric. Is there something I’ve probably done wrong?
]]>Hi,
Is there a language file, .po file in kitchenbug? I need to translate it to norwegian.
]]>One of the reasons I am using kitchen bug is that ability to create the rich pins that are amazing way to add your content to Pinterest. It works for all recipes in website, accept one and I cannot figure out why. It seems that all the Shema.org data are there and the google structured data validates it. When I post it on pinterest however, it is not working. I have no idea why. Here is the recipe.

It might not be the right place to post this, but it is what I can think now.

EDIT Ah nevermind I have figured it out.
]]>Hi guys,
just wanted to suggest a change to the renderDirectionsArray function to render the directions one after the other one in the structured data instead of a block. Here is the modified code that I added the itemprop=\”recipeInstructions\” in the <$tag>. The code now read like:
public function renderDirectionsArray(array $array, $tag = 'li')
{
$value = 1;
foreach ($array as $item)
{
if (substr($item, 0, 1) === ":")
{
echo "<$tag class=\"kb-section-header\" itemprop=\"recipeInstructions\">" . substr($item, 1) . "</$tag>\r\n";
}
else
{
echo "<$tag itemprop=\"recipeInstructions\" value=\"$value\">" . $item . "</$tag>\r\n";
$value += 1;
}
}
}
Just thought I should let you know. May you can considered i to the next upgrade.
]]>Hey guys, moved to a new site. Old site had php5.3, new has php5.4 and when debugging is on, this message is generated:
Strict Standards: Non-static method KB_Db::getInstance() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /wp-content/plugins/kitchenbug/KB/Pages/Settings.php on line 13
Everything works okay as far as I can tell, but this should probably be addressed at some point.
Thanks!

]]>Is it possible to create a post using the Category or Cuisine tags from my recipes? I would like to be able to quick sort through the different recipes and am at a loss on how to do this.
Thanks!
]]>Hi,
I cannot log in from plugin. I have updated the plugin and am trying to add my first recipe. The add recipe box pops open but I get stuck on analyze which I am assuming is due to not being able to login to the plugin.
Kitchenbug seems to break wordpress 3.9 editor and it’s not working unless the plugin is deactivated.

]]>I just upgraded and I noticed that the editor is no longer working. I wend through to deactivate one-byone the various plugins and it turns out that the latest version of kitchen bug breaks the editor.
]]>Hi
I would really want to allow my users to use kitchenbug from frontend editor in wordpress. At the moment it’s not possible. Any way to fix that?
Maria
]]>Great plugin! I really enjoy the way it tights up with the kitchen bug.com and the analysis of the nutrition data.
In my blog in certain cases I need to add two recipes in one post, but there is always one of the two showing up. My posts are usually long and therefore the recipe card is usually included in a collapsable menu. See an example here:
https://nerdmeetsfood.com/2014/04/05/lavender-rosemary-lemon-cookies/
Is it possible to add two recipes in a single post?

]]>I just updated the plugin and I am having a few problems.
1. Navigation and Logo are being pushed to the side
2. Blog tiles are also is being pushed to single column.
3. In my control panel (for elegant themes) I can’t upload a logo or favicon. It is blocking the upload button.
This is how it looks with Kitchenbug deactivated: https://lifeinthekitchenwithmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/website-kitchenbug-deactivated.jpg

thanks,

It appears that you have a bug in your code that is causing the link tags to be malformed in the header. Specifically, the media parameter is not populating. For example, the KitchenBug tags in my header looked like this:
<link rel='stylesheet' id='recipe-reset-css' href='https://greekgodsyogurt:8888/wp-content/plugins/kitchenbug/application/assets/css/recipe-reset.css?ver=0.6.0' type='text/css' media>
I tracked the problem to the kitchenbug/KB/Wordpress.php file on line 187. This line
wp_enqueue_style($name, $path, $dependancy, $this->kitchenbug->config['plugin']['version'], $isFooter);
should look like this:
wp_enqueue_style($name, $path, $dependancy, $this->kitchenbug->config['plugin']['version']);
That at least give the media parameter a value of “all”.
Thanks.
]]>I installed and activate the plugin. I see two menu items on the left hand Dashboard Menu. General Setting and Recipes. How do I
1. link to the website to facilitate nutritional evaluations and calculations
2. How ho I create a new recipe
3. How to I provide my users the ability to peruse and find recipes
4. How do I restrict non-members from access
In some recipes, not all, the recipe has disappeared from my posts (or, the recipe display is broken).
The site is https://redbarnmarket.ca/recipes. If you look at the first two recipes, it’s just the shortcode displaying. The recipe following that (Pasta to the Lemon) doesn’t display properly. The recipe following that displays an error.
The recipes I looked at following those display fine. It’s the first four that are wonky.
]]>I just installed your plugin and tried it on one recipe. I like it a lot and want to edit all of my prior recipe posts to use it. But before I do that I want to know that if I ever decide to stop using the plugin, I won’t lose my recipes.
How would I access my recipes if I did stop using the plugin in the future?
Would I be able to import the recipes into a new plugin?
Also, I just want to confirm that my recipes aren’t automatically added the KitchenBug site. It’s one of the reasons I chose your plugin over the others!
]]>kitchenbug looks amazing!
but i cant allow users to upload recipes because they dont even use custom fields for their plugin so i cant even grab or put info.
??
from looking at the database it seems it has its own content thing….
also it would be nice to be able to filter via rating but there is no rating….but thats not so bad
and the ingredients are cool but there should be an option to link ingredients to a taxonomy so we can show all recipes with that ingredient
otherwise cool plugin!!
]]>Your plugin is throwing off the main header for my theme – any thoughts on what code I might alter to avoid this? Thanks!
]]>I registered at the website, made sure my usernames are the same on the site as they are on my blog. Every time I enter a recipe it gets stuck “analyzing”. I’ve switched themes to Twenty Twelve since I saw that others were having issues with some themes. That still hasn’t worked. What am I missing??
]]>Hello Fine Developers, I would like to request a valid SSL placed on the site for includes to your site. Even a free SSL such as the one you can obtain here: https://www.startssl.com would be very useful to me. Alternatively the ability to load all of the scripts from my own site would be a second method I could think of.
