I have a WordPress on a Ionos 1&1 server. Since from next year (2023) they will charge for extra support for PHP 7.4 and earlier, for this reason I have decided to upgrade to PHP 8.0 now. At the time of doing so, the plugin exploded and the web fell. When reinstalling it I want to activate but get the following error:

Will there be any update for PHP 8.0? Any idea what it can do?

When author is clicked, a page is opened with all their posts. I would like this page to show full posts instead of summaries. Can this be changed?

Administrators do not show up in the Axact authors list widget. Is there a fix for this?

When we have assign multiple authors to a post using this Co-Authors Plus plugin (v. 3.2.1), the authors only show up in the Authors List if they are the first author listed. I had to check the box to display Authors with 0 posts to get the other Authors associated with a post using Co-Authors Plus to show up.

Have you tested this plugin to see if there is an easy fix to resolve this issue?

Is there any word on an update? Do others have problems with this plugin on 4.7.3?

We hadn’t noticed that it wasn’t working until today. So I’m not exactly sure when it quit showing up in the page.

On each page I’m getting the error message:

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘) ORDER BY menu_order ASC’ at line 3]
SELECT ID FROM wp_posts WHERE post_type = ‘attachment’ AND ID in () ORDER BY menu_order ASC

This is only with the KNR author list plugin activated. Once deactivated the issue disappears. I’m running KNR Author List 2.0.4 on wordpress 3.8. Please let me know how to fix this as soon as possible. Thanks!

How can I change the font size of the Author Names? I’m assuming I do something with the markup options?

Also how could I go in and add “number of posts” in before the posts number?

I want to use KNR Author List Widget as a dropdown menus for different groups of authors. It is possible to extend the plugin and add him the “Include authors” function so I through various widgets to display these different groups of different authors simply so that each widget will be referred to other ID other authors?

Hi all,

atm KNR only uses first and last name in the list. Would it be possible to configure also display_name or user_nicename as listname?

I shipped around it with replacing $authorNameMarkup with
$authorNameMarkup = get_the_author_meta( display_name , $row->ID );

but I am not sure about perfomance…;(

Hi, I run a web site https://www.footyalmanac.com.au and on this site we usually display a list of all the authors (around 950 of them) on a page called The Almanackers – here is the URL which you can access the page I am talking about https://www.footyalmanac.com.au/the-almanackers/

We have had to remove the link to this page from the menu because the list simply does not load up.

I understand that the plugin is not recommended or tested beyond WordPress 3.3.2, however it was working up until recently on our WP 3.5.1 version.

Is there any limitation on this plugin working with too many authors? Is there a PHP limit we need to increase on the hosting server to accommodate this list to load?

I appreciate any assistance as quickly as possible.

I’ve installed KNR Author List Widget on a network/multi blog site. The name (at least of the administrator) appears once for each blog. Two blogs, appears twice (same link url, same number of articles). Add a new blog, and the names appear three times.

Is there a resolution to this?

Hi, I’m trying to get the KNR Author List plugin to work on my website, however it seems to be listing each user four times. I’ve tried to find out what’s causing this, but can’t seem to be able to. Does anyone have any ideas?

I’ve been using this Plug-In to display my Top 20 Authors for some time now, but since updating to WordPress 3.3.1, I have a problem:

1. The “Limit” no longer works – the widget displays all authors.

2. When I look at the widget settings, if I enter a limit (20) and click “Save”, the figure (20) disappears from the field!

I just updated KNR Author List Widget to 2.0.0, and it showed that error message and deactivated the plugin.

I have a theme that has a home page sidebar and a standard page sidebar. How do I add this widget to both places? Once I add it to one sidebar it is no longer available to add to the other.
