Why do developers leave defunct plugins on here, and not even notify users (several thousand in this case) that it is extinct????

I do a lot of research on this, and I#m so happy that i found the kPicasa Gallery Plugin !!
For me, it totally work and it doesn’t slow down the Website.
The options aren’t to overwheight, and there are just a few “styling” options so even beginners can get it displayed as they want to.
