I love what this plugin does, but with the lack of support I’m wondering whether anyone can recommend an alternative?
I’m looking for something that can do that same but also have reports that can be run of showing user’s activity and movements?
Thanks

It used to work fine. Is it because of the update to WP???

]]>Hello, this is a useful and nifty little plug-in however, I have a particular problem that is driving me completely nuts. The problem reared its ugly head after I’d updated WordPress to version 3.4. After that I just can’t get LBAK to display User Tracking where IP Addresses are display.
I have two websites where I have installed this plug-in. This problem only affects one of them where the other works perfectly. It previously worked fine on both sites.
I would be tremendously grateful for any help you could offer. Thanks in advance.

]]>at least with the version of WP indicted. (WP3.2=unappealing)
This is a great plugin; too bad the author failed to reap his due reward. Maybe he’d still be supporting it. In any event his bog reveals him as a quixotic sort dabbling in a variety of otherwise (superficial) topics/coding.
Use it; love it. As for crashing and fatal errors, my experience with WP is that those usually result from other issues–hackers, bots, server problems, overlapping/conflicting plugins, wrong php or sql versions, user error, theme up-dates, partially failed FTP, etc. (Most blog are hacked from the server side, not the bog.)
Note that just because one is working on his site does not mean it is not under attack at that moment. Investigate before finger pointing.
Webmatrix (one the few excellent MSFT sftws) allows one to build and test his WP site on his PC (no fruit machine version) before uploading it. Then one knows for sure how the site (and plugins) is/are working. Webmatrix is recommended (free but requires a bazillion .net downloads) to all WP artisans.

]]>Hello,
thanks for awesome plugin. I am having an issue when trying to make a csv file. Looks like this:
“Warning: fopen(/www/doc/www.datascript-elearning.cz/www/wp-content/plugins/lbak-user-tracking/csv/lbakut5rows050611095615.csv) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /www/doc/www.datascript-elearning.cz/www/wp-content/plugins/lbak-user-tracking/php_includes/main.php on line 163
Could not create .csv file. Please ensure that you have write permission on your server in the csv directory of this plugin.”
Have any idea how this could be solved??? thanks in advance
]]>Hey there,
thanks for awesome plugin. However I′m getting this kind of an error when trying to make .csv file:
“Warning: fopen(/www/doc/www.datascript-elearning.cz/www/wp-content/plugins/lbak-user-tracking/csv/lbakut114rows030611090254.csv) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /www/doc/www.datascript-elearning.cz/www/wp-content/plugins/lbak-user-tracking/php_includes/main.php on line 163
Could not create .csv file. Please ensure that you have write permission on your server in the csv directory of this plugin.”
Guess thats because my website is uploaded in a directory /wwww/ at my website and other directories hosted there like /doc/ are read only (cant do pretty much anything with that…)From my point of view the fopen path should like “www.datascript-elearning.cz/www/wp-content/plugins/lbak-user-tracking/csv/lbakut114rows030611090254.csv” without “/www/doc/”. Is there any chance I can fix that by myself or could you make any upgrade?
Thanks in advance…
Stepan

]]>Having the user tracking widget in the dashboard is nice, but the ability to export that dataset as CSV or XLS would be awesome. Also, I see there are several options to clear database by age/IP/ID/etc. For my purpose, I’m only interested in tracking what logged in users are accessing, so a feature to clear data by users with no ID, or some way to filter out anonymous users would be really helpful. Hope you will possibly consider adding these features. Thanks for the great plugin!

Hey Sam – I’m using your plugin on a huge magazine site with over 700 authors which helps us a lot. We’ve discovered however, that there’s a conflict between LBAK/UT and the Gravity Forms plugin (https://gravityforms.com). It does not appear to hamper LBACK/UT, but it seriously screws with the Gravity Forms form editor. I’m not good enough with the code to provide more info than that but figured I’d give you the heads-up.

Of late I’ve noticed a huge error_log file in the wp (3) root directory.
So big I couldn’t open them in notepad/word etc so I deleted it and created an empty copy. Within minutes it was 1.5 mb in size; here is an extract which implicated LBAK (which I have now deactivated whilst you consider the issue):

]]>Hey there!
This is just a warning to anyone using this plugin that has multiple users on their blog (authors, contributors, editors, etc.)
The file lbak-user-tracking/php_includes/visual.php does no checking whether or not the user has the rights to view the dashboard widgets which can expose the login name and password of the admin user who logged-in.
An easy work-around for this is to include the following in the visual.php page (towards the top):
function lbakut_dashboard_setup() {
//Check that the user is able to view this page.
if (current_user_can('manage_options')) {
$options = lbakut_get_options();
if ($options['widget_show'] == true) {
...
...
And be sure to add a close right-brace at the end of the function block to close the if { … } block in PHP.
Ideally, the author of this plugin will bake this in.
