On my intranet I use LDAP plugin for authorize Microsoft Active directory user. But when user in login form check the Remeber me, that doesn’t work.
We have a web page with your plugin. It was working perfectly. Suddlenly today users get “password is incorrect”.
However:
Hi,
At my work we have a local intranet set up with xampp on a Windows server, we have never had problems logging in.
We recently migrated the domain server and transferred the FSMO roles to it so that it remains the main server.
Now we cannot log in to the intranet with the LDAP/AD credentials, it shows the error Invalid username or password entered.
I have the LDAP login option enabled.
The authentication test in the LDAP configuration tab is successful.
The authentication report shows the following: LDAP_USER_BIND_ERROR
I look forward to your comments.
Greetings.
Hello.
I am looking for a plugin where I can create a standard WP page, and then put it behind a login that has AD functionality.
This is not the WP admin page.
Can this plugin meet my needs? Or is there another one that does?
Regards.
Hi Team,
Thank you for this wonderful plugin. All the functionalities working fine in the free version of the plugin. I am using this plugin into our intranet wordpress portal. Our use case is we have disabled the internet for the VM on which we installed this wordpress plugin. It was working fine until I recently updated my AD password.
Now I am unable to login into intranet wordpress dashboard using my new password. I tried with Old password also still not working. Is it because internet is disabled on the VM.
Please help us to resolve this issue.
Note: Not provided the wordpress portal link because it is intranet.
Good morning, I installed wordpress on an ubuntu server locally on a microsoft network to make an intranet in the company, I installed “LDAP/AD Login for Intranet” and validated it and passed all the tests in the plugin, but when I logged in I got gives error “ERROR: There was an error registering your account. Please try again.” that when entering with a domain user, the error indicates that the user cannot be registered… can someone please help me

How do I connect the wordpress plugin to a Synology LDAP Server?
I have a green tick in the LDAP server, but red crosses in the username and password fields – even tho the credentials entered are correct
The error produced is “Connection to LDAP server is Successful but unable to make authenticated bind to LDAP server. Make sure you have provided correct username or password.”
I have checked the username & password – they do make authenticated bind to the LDAP server from other clients
Any help/advice would be welcomed
Hi,
Is there a way to exclude a specific URL/page from authentification ?
I explain myself : I have a cron job that call a URL/page of my website but the cron job returns everytime an error (401) because (I think) of the LDAP authentification.
The other cron jobs work using a workaround on the htaccess file. But for this specific cron job, it doesn’t work as it calls an url / page of the website.
Any ideas ?
Best Regards,
Cedric
Hello. it is necessary to do authorization from 3 Active Directory domains. Does this plugin allow this ?
Hello,
I have two websites:
– subdomain1.site.com (Non WordPress site)
– subdomain2.site.com (WordPress site)
We are planning to have users login through our subdomain1.site.com then click a link to come to our subdomain2.site.com without having to log in again.
I’m just the project manager on this so I would need to pass on the details to our developers.
So can anyone:
1. Let me know if this is possible.
2. What calls/API I would need.
3. WordPress keys / User details for this to work.
Really appreciate any guidance here.
Hello,
We are using a premium plan for this plugin with the Directory Sync add-on on top. We’re slowly figuring out what works best for the particular setup for our client and managed to do a first user sync into WordPress. The thing is, it stops after importing 1000 users, and we can’t seem to find out why. “1000” being a round number I’m suspecting it’s some sort of hidden function, but we can’t find it anywhere.
What are we missing here?
Hi
i need to know if it’s possible to import all the Active Directory datas of the employees as users.
I need for my intranet that all the employees can login (and only them, not a public website).
Because i need to upload a photo for each will your plugin create a WP user page for each?

Hello,
How to find out LDAP server username, password and Domain name?
Thanks
Rajesh Prajapati
Our website is on WordPress. We are also syncing our authentication and session details with Windows Active Directory (AD).
When logging in, we are entering the AD username and password along with an OTP so that Two Factor authentication is implemented.
Is there any way to allow the users to log-in automatically to the website as long as they are logged into the Active Directory?
We have installed the LDAP plugin for multisite, we host 1000+ sites yet under the sign-in settings tab we are only showing about 99 sites. We have purchased the license for 1000 sites. Is there some way to force the websites to show up under that list? Wondering if anyone has run into a similar issue.
Hi, we are in the process of upgrading to PHP 8 on our servers and I cannot find a document concerning this question for the plugin …can you tell me please if it’s compatible with PHP 8?
Thanks!
e.
After the latest update users are unable to login to our website. I have installed a previous version and the issue was resolved. I am using the plugin in a multisite environment in case that helps.
Using the active directory integration for intranet sites plugin, on rhel 7.9. latest version wordpress.
I get the error: not found in ldap directory.
I have the plugin set up so that it tests successfully. When I try to add a user, that’s when the message comes up.
thought?
I do have wordfence plugin installed, but I haven’t seen anything that should be blocking this.
Having an issue with this, and can’t seem to find the fix.
I have a multi-network site on rhel 7.9. Most stuff I find refers to the .htaccess file.
This is my current file:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
#uploaded files
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/$ index.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*wp-content/plugins.*
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/(.*) wp-includes/ms-files.php?file=$2 [L]
# add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^.*/wp-admin$
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ $1/ [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule . – [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-.*) $2 [L]
#RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ – [L]
RewriteRule . index.php [L]
<IfModule mod_security.c>
<Files async-upload.php>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</Files>
</IfModule>
I have 1 line commented, and it seems to have stopped the message, according to logs. Ultimately, this came about as an admin was trying to add users to her site, and it wasn’t allowing her to do so. Which is another topic, though the 2 might be related in some way.
Is there a better way to control this rewrite error? Keeping in mind that I can’t fix 1 site while breaking another.
Hello,
as of today our users can no longer log in. We haven’t changed anything and are using version 3.6.9.
When a user tries to log in, they only see “Error: The username or password entered is incorrect”.
If I use the “Test Authentication” function in the backend with the same (or a different, normally working user), it is successful.
Is there anything we can do?
Hello. When I try to activate this plugin first time, I have this message.
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /var/www/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/ldap-login-for-intranet-sites/mo_ldap_pages.php on line 635
Hi, we use your plugin to authenticate through Active Directory and are wondering if there’s a way to produce better user login failure messages when a LDAP_PING_ERROR
is occurring. The error thrown during LDAP_NOT_RESPONDING
error seems a more appropriate fit than the default “Invalid username or incorrect password”.
Greetings and thank you for your plugin.
I am having an issue – i dont want to use the WordPress to LDAP Sync feature of the Directory Sync plugin – is there a way to deactivate it ?
From the LDAP/Active Directory Login for Intranet Sites plugin i can Test Authentication successfully, but when an LDAP user tries to log in – a critical error is thrown.
I am guessing this error is thrown becouse i haven’t configured the WordPress to LDAP Sync
Thank you in advance
I have been able to retrieve and map custrom LDAP attributes. However, one custom LDAP attribute I would like to map, contains binary data (images in PNG format).
I am looking for a way to safely write this data to the database. Since the WP tables do not contain blobs, can the plug-in encode this binary data into Base64 before writing the attribute content to the database?
Hi,
we’re using LDAP plugin with WordFence.
In some cases (as WordPress default), some information is exposed to final users (for example, valid usernames during login).
WordFence has a function to “Don’t let WordPress reveal valid users in login errors”.
However, due to login error codes generated by the LDAP plugin, this function is not triggered.
wpldaplogin.php
$error = new WP_Error();
$error->add('LDAP_USER_BIND_ERROR', __('ERROR: The password you entered for the username '.$username.' is incorrect.'));
return $error;
This works using:
$error->add('incorrect_password', ... )
Do you plan to support WordFence or have plan to expose less data to potential attackers?
Kind Regards,
Marco
The ‘Redirect after authentication’ only gives two options, i.e. Home Page and Profile Page. It doesn’t seem to obey wp-login.php?redirect_to URLs. This was verified on my site by temporarily disabling the plugin. This makes redirecting to the page they were accessing before the login prompt impossible. So, if I send someone a link on my page, they click it, log in, it takes them back to the home page, and they have to go click the link again to get to correct page. I don’t like that. Is there a way to disable this setting? I’d rather handle my redirects with custom PHP.
Thanks!
Hi,
I need to authenticate users against both LDAP and WordPress, however it looks like i need to purchase a premium version.
We didn’t realise this at this because of the first line of your plugin page.
FREE VERSION FEATURES :-
Login to WordPress using your LDAP credentials ( Additionally login with WordPress credentials supported if enabled)
Regardless, please can you let us know which premium plugin we need, i cannot find the specific feature listed against any of them.
Kind regards,
Sarah
Hi, Would anyone be able to help with the link I have provided to a question I asked on the general forum.
I have been advised to post on this forum as it may be to do with this plugin.
