I maintain the web site at https://www.idylwood.org. Before, the business directory had been working fine.

Now, the front page displays correctly, but when you click on a listing, it seems like some kind of transparent overlay pops up and nothing happens.

Plus, on the backend, you cannot add a listing or a category. When you fill out the forms for either a new listing or a new category, and hit SAVE, it goes to a 404 Page within the dashboard. Kind of odd. ANy ideas? We really want to use this plugin, and in fact, I am getting ready to need to use this or something quite similar on a new project. I will be happy to pay for troubleshooting. I’m back again. Having the same issue with the plugin that I did a year ago but on a different website. I was hoping it had been corrected. I was able to isolate the problem last time with the plugin and had a developer correct it.

When I add a listing, and use either an apostrophe ” ‘ ” or a forward slash ” / ” in the title name, the directory quits working. It wont let me add or edit a listing. During development of a new site, I had instructed the client not to use those characters until I could get it resolved but she forgot, and now it’s not working correctly. I’ve gone through each listing within the database to remove the characters yet it still wont work. When I click on a listing to edit it, the URL i get is /admin.php?page=edit_business_in_directory&id=279, which from the last time this was happening looks correct but a 404 is showing.

Two Part Question.

For styling purposes for my website, I’m wanting to remove the Directory Title for the Directory. How would I remove this?

Also styling, how do I decrease the margin at the top of the form to move it closer to the top of the page?

I love the directory and found it easy to install and manage. However I have one issue:

When I click on the listing in the summary results to read the full details I am getting a “Page not found” error.

When I unapprove the listing and view it, it is there and everything is fine. As soon as I approve the listing and then view it, I get the same error “Page not found”

I am hoping you can help me resolve this as I would really like to use the plugin.

I am receiving a 500 error when I try to add a new listing to Directory Lite, which I just downloaded today:

“Service Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”

I can add categories fine, however. (If it helps, I’m also using Enfold Theme.) Any suggestions on troubleshooting?

First, your plugin looks great and its exactly want I need for a project I am working on!
But I don′t need the option for people to login from the front-end and add new business directories.

What I really need is a way for all the site editors to have access to the plugin from the back-end and be able to add new entries without having to use another kind of login.

Can you please tell me what PHP code do I need to change for that?

Just recently I’ve been made aware that when you go to my directory, click on all listings tab and then one of the contacts, the page is all messed up. There’s a vertical row of other people’s emails on top of the page, and my footer menus are showing incorrectly.

This did not happen last night on my iMac, but I do see it happening on my iPad and my work PC.

Do you have any ides what may be causing this? I did not have this happen before.

I am looking at starting a local business directory within my town and we are looking to add a paid listing option that would involve having featured listings.
I understand that this isn’t possible in the base version of the directory but I was wondering if an add-on is available or can be created to cater for this purpose.

I entered a directory listing, but it didn’t show up under ‘Directory Listings’. Then I received an email saying that a new listing (the one I had entered) had been submitted and was awaiting administrative approval.

When I went back to my dashboard, no listings were there and I don’t see anywhere to approve anything.

I love this plugin but I’m having a problem with the “Submit Listing” form being cut off at category on the bottom – no submit button.

I have scoured the forum, but it seems no one else is talking about this.

I have seen in other post the question about editing the logo. Once a logo is selected, there is not way to go back and edit that logo. You would have to delete the listing then create a new one. That being said, when creating a logo and choose not to add a logo, then the front end doesn’t need to show a broken image icon.

Testing this plugin on the front end, I click on the email tab, the window pops up sow you can enter your name, email and message however, I didn’t’ want to fill it out due to I’m testing but had no way to close the pop up. No X sign, I tried escape with no luck, same thing with enter. Need a way to exit out of the pop up should someone change their mind and not want to use the form.

I love this plugin. Created categories with no problem and now starting to add listings. I noticed I entered some information wrong when creating a listing. Through the back end, I clicked on Edit Listing then the page comes up where I select which listing to edit. I select the one I want then click on “Find Listing” when I do, it navigates to the front end with a “Page not found” error. Also, which this is minor, when I create a listing, I check the box that automatically approves the listing. How can I keep the plugin sending me the email that says “A new listing, [Listing Name], has been submitted and is awaiting administrative approval.? BTW, in this message, the word approval is misspelled. In the email it shows as (approal)

This is a great plugin, just having one problem. As a site administrator I am adding our members to the directory First, I added my own business and then received email notifications that a new listing was submitted and awaiting administrative approval at both my business, and the sites (our organization’s) email address. Even though, when creating the listing, I made sure the “Approved” box was checked, and the listing also immediately went up on the website as if approved. Am I missing a way that I can make these emails stop? It could prove to be very confusing to our members. Thanks!

I am very amazed by seeing that India is not there in the listing of the country when submitting the business details by the customer.
