Hi support,

is it possible to include images inside the exported courses, that will automatically be added to the media library when imported?

If this is not possible, is it possible to update all image references, if the media library is transferred to another WordPress instance?

I tried to export courses from my old website to my new website using the import/export plugin. The old versions are Learnpress 4.1.7.3.1 and Import/Export 4.0.1. I am not able to update. My new versions are Learnpress 4.2.5.9 and 4.0.3.

When importing/exporting courses, I get no error messages, everything works fine, but when I look at the course later on in my new website, the answers in my quizzes are missing. Is this a known bug? What can I do to import courses including quizzes and its questions and answers?

I recently purchased Course Builder. I have a previous site that I want to import 14 courses from. These courses include lessons, quizzes, question banks and answers as well as assignments.

I have been told by Thim Press support for the Course Builder theme that Learn Press Import/Export plugin no longer works for all of these things, only the courses, not the content.

This seems crazy to me. There is no way that I can re-write 1000’s of questions and responses, there must be a way to do this. I am disappointed that I paid for the theme and the install and now I cannot get my content.

I am trying to export my courses to another website. I have downloaded the zip file and imported it to my second site. All information is coming over EXCEPT for the questions and responses, so courses, assignments are there. Both versions of the import export plugin are 4.0 BUT the exporting site is still operating on an older version of LP. (NOTE the newest version of LP 4.0 is crashing the site).

Can you please tell me what I need to do to fix?

I can export and import courses, but I don’t see how to do it with students.

and if i can then how i mean what is the format of excel sheet of quizzes like how many column and what is complete schema?

Hi everyone! Here I have a partial / temp solution to export courses since plugin is broked a few updates agos

The problem is at the WordPress Filesystem, the plugin works only with wp_filesystem_direct

We need to define this at wp-config.php, adding at the bottomdefine ('FS_METHOD', 'direct');

I hope its helps until other updated comes with the fix.

Hi there, I just installed the plugin and when I export the xml file it is exported completely empty. Please, if someone ran into the same problem and managed to solve it, it would be of great help.

I have imported an exported XML file from a course I want to migrate to a different site and nothing happens. It just displays a message that “Import Successful” but then the file isn’t there. Please help! I have a course launching on Monday and need to get it over to the new site.

We are trying to export using WordPress -> Tools -> Export and the plugin you provide also. In WordPress Export the questions are there, but no answers. I just tried the plugin here and it exports only courses and lessons, no quiz or question banks+answers.

Can you help us with exporting either answers from WordPress Question Bank export, (happy to alter code) or the plugin to select all related things to the course export such as questions and answers.

Hi there, I have installed the plugin even though it says it is not compatible with the last few versions of wordpress and when I import the export file nothing happens.

I have exported a course and imported to another site (https://www.mysalesblueprint.com). The export showed successful but when I go to the destination site, the course is not there. I have all the lessons, quizzes and assignments but the course does not show under “courses” on the Learnpress dashboard nor does it show up on the “courses page of the website.

What am I missing? What step did I miss? Do I need to create the actual course and then assign all of the content to it?

The course is called “Selling Solutions – 20 Hours to Sales Success

1.Access your installation directory for WordPress via FTP, SSH or File Manager in cPanel

2. Open the folder wp-content/uploads/.

3. Change the permissions on the learnpress folder to 755 or chmod 755 learnpress.

4. Create the following directories:

/wp-content/uploads/learnpress/import
/wp-content/uploads/learnpress/export
/wp-content/uploads/learnpress/temp

5. Change the folder permissions on all 3 to 755

6. Done. Refresh the page and try your import/export again.

The XML file generated is empty.

Export works, downloading a very nice .xml file. But importing that file into an existing system doesn’t overwrite it, though it says that it has.

The server and sites have all updated WP/PHP/MySQL components and the site itself works. It would be nice though to take a course from another site and place updated material into another. Alas. And, suddenly I find that the support is very exclusive – you can’t even look in the forum and see the results of other people’s successful problems solved…only the 1st post and then a BS statement about privacy.

I think that I will have to go over to Tutor.

When I export a lesson with the import/export plugin, the answers on the questions are not present in the file? Where can I find the answers?
