]]>I have been looking for a plugin that allows to add CDN image links into the media gallery, but DOES NOT add the image into the wordpress uploads folder or anywhere within the hosting server.
Is that even possible as a feature in this plugin? If not now, soon?
Otherwise, does anyone know what plugin does this.

I’ve been getting an error message “Error: Invalid Link” when trying to upload media. My website uses latest WP on PHP 7.4. My host is Hostgator.
Back when my host supported PHP versions below 7.0, this plugin worked properly. It only started to throw the “Invalid Link” error when I upgraded my site to PHP 7.x. Since I wanted to use the latest PHP, I gave up on using the plugin.
I tested this at the time by switching back to the older PHP and noting that uploads worked again. (I think the older PHP version was 5.6)
Recently, I reinstalled your plugin to see if the problem had been corrected, and unfortunately it still produces “Invalid Link” error messages.
]]>Add Media from URL
Error: Invalid Link
Keep getting this error
Even with https and using different urls.
Brilliant idea for a plug-in. I love being able to skip the step of downloading the image to my hard drive first before I post it.
The only downside it’s not working with images from Facebook.
I’m not sure if it’s because of the URL string is long (147 characters) and complicated (full of ampersands and question marks and other punctuation) or if Facebook is somehow blocking the image from being downloaded.
But other than for FB pics, highly recommended!
]]>I’ve noted that there are two conditions in which this plugin will fail to load an image from a URL:
Image link includes wp.com, example:
https://i0.wp.com/bitsandpieces.us/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Volume-1-of-16.jpg?w=750
The file name has multiple periods before the extension, example:
https://bitsandpieces.us/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Why-you-cant-print-that….jpg
Hello,
I have several WP posts and pages that include JPG, PNG, MP3 and MP4 files that are linked from external sources.
Can your plugin detect these external URLs of these kind of files, download to Media and replace remote URL with local URL of recently downloaded file?
Thank you very much.

]]>Hi there
translate.www.ads-software.com says this plugin is not properly prepared for translation right here.
I would like to ask you if it’s possible to make the necessary modifications in order to make it so?
Best regards
Ricardo Sim?es
I’m attempting to side load this mp4 file:
[video src="https://hugelolcdn.com/v/454405.mp4" /]
I’ve already added the mp4 extension to the permitted file types and when I manually upload it, it’s saved correctly, just like any other file. When attempting to side load it with the plugin a .png is added to the end of the filename.
On my server it looks like:
/files/2017/07/454405.mp4.png
Manually removing the .png from the file name allows the file to load as expected, but the media entries in the database are still incorrect, so I’d have to manually update those too.
Any ideas?
]]>When using the bookmarklet, it just redirects me to the submission page where I have to manually click the “submit” button, is that working as intended? I would have expected it to upload it the moment I hit the bookmarklet.
