]]>Hi, i’ve been using this awesome plugin for a while, and now i’ve added a modal that loads the posts via an ajax request. What i’m trying to do is to get the buttons in the modal, for which i’m using the following code:
if(function_exists('like_counter_p')) { like_counter_p('Like',$postID); }
But it always returns 0 counts and the button is not clickable, while everything works fine in the post page.
Any idea how to make this work?

Is there a support for this plugin working with W3 total cache ?
With this caching plugin it counts guest votes, but do not show them it. So a person click to “like”, but after refresh, he still sees 0 votes.

Firstly, great plugin, it’ simple to use and delivers as promised.
Now, I would like to use only “like” option, so “dislike” should be removed/hidden. I would like to write CSS but I noticed there are no separated/different classes.
Could I suggest adding 2 CSS classes:
class=”… ldc-ul_cont-like” for like button
class=”… ldc-ul_cont-dislike” for dislike button
This way developers/designers could get more control when customizing/integrating plugin.
p.s. Is there some other good way of removing “dislike” button?

I am using the following wordpress plugin and it works perfect but if I want to place the code manually in the comments.php and single.php pages, I can’t seem to place it where I would like it, I am doing it manually cause if I set it to automatic, it appears on the home page as well underneath my slideshow
If I do it manually, it places the likes/dislikes buttons above the post and under the comments and looks like it’s in a section all on it’s own and don’t look right
can anyone help me please?

I have a problem with Varnish cache.
Basically it’s counting when cliked but it’s not refreshing the counter. i starts, but then I get an empty bracket like () without the number inside.
When I refresh the whole page, the counter gets updated.
Any hints?

]]>I’m wondering if there is an easy way to add the count to the byline of each post without allowing the user to click on it. For now, I’ve added the regular code to the byline and styled it differently (just for displaying the count). And I have the regular like/dislike buttons at the bottom of the post.
There must be a way to grab just the count for each article so that I can display it better without allowing the user to click. You help would be much appreciated. Thanks for the great plugin!

But it will be better if we can set like (or dislike) as a custom filed value.
Example: A post has 5 likes, so custom field of the post (ex: like_count) also has value 5.

]]>By writing my own code for getting values from this plugin I found out that the database table ‘wp_like_dislike_counters’ it creates uses VARCHAR(30) for the counting values.
This is really bad, since if you count stuff you should use integer and every standard query fails sorting.
To do something like getting the top vote you would write
SELECT *

WHERE ul_key = 'c_like'
ORDER BY ul_value DESCBut this doesn’t work because the ORDER BY clause fails sorting correct. You have to cast to integer using
