Anyone know if there’s anything we could hook into with a custom function to increase the link description length?
]]>Anyone know of a custom function to change the widget title “Bookmarks” to something else?
]]>I have noticed that when I add or update a link, and then print_r get_bookmarks, every link object in the array has [link_updated] => 0000-00-00 00:00:00
and this will never update, even if I update the link.
Is there a way I can get the links manager to actually record when the link was updated?
]]>No matter what plugin I install to bring back Link Manager (I’ve tried this one, Eazy Enable Blogroll, and Blogroll Block), I get the manager back but there’s no widget so that I can include the links in my sidebar widget area. Am I missing something?

Is it possible to add a shortcode for Links Manager into a page, so it does the same as the widget, but in the main page?
Does anyone know the shortcode, or other ideas for this?

]]>How to search all links for default search on WordPress. When I search the link, The search result is blank now. I tired find the right solution.
]]>I wonder if somebody got a solution for those topics (they are really the same) which seemingly remained unsolved:
I.e.: how to use wp_list_bookmarks()

Hi. I’ve tried to hack this plugin to use the Notes field to show a longer description. I managed to show it instead of the link Description.
But…
I’d also like to show an HTML-enriched description there (using the Notes field) and found that the text is always sanitized (i.e. escaped) and HTML is not shown OK but the code itself instead.
I tried this old fix but it doesn’t work anymore. I guess some more sanitizing was included since that old WP version.
Any idea about how to get this, i.e., to have HTML in Link Notes?
Thanks in advance.

I cannot find the Links in search result front-end. I try to search one link and not get any result.

]]>Is there some alternative plugin, as simple as “Link Manager”, but maintained?
Some day this one will stop working with future WP versions. I don’t understand why links management isn’t default supported by default WP.
]]>The plugin works flawlessly on WordPress 4.2. However, plugin’s readme file hasn’t been updated to reflect this for more than two years now. Perhaps its time someone updates this to reflect this change so that beginner level WordPress users can confidently install and use this plugin.
Thanks,

On the page where I add each new link there used to be a tick box to set a no follow attribute.
That tick box appears to have vanished.

]]>My links do not appear in the “all links” area of the dashboard unless I select a category. If the “view all categories” is selected then there are no links found.
I did have some custom categories but they have since been deleted and that didn’t resolve it. I have now gone and removed all the links hoping the link manager would be removed but it wasn’t.
Im in a multi site install

I’ve just installed links manger.
How ever, whem I press the links button it doesn’t show me the list of my web links.

Links must have gone from deprecated to removed; this plugin no longer displays them in the sidebar.

]]>Hello,
I upgraded to WordPress 3.8 and now I am getting strange behavior from the Link Manager widget.
I am using the Link Manager to show links of certain categories. I have 3 instances of the Link Manager widget, one shows links in category A, one shows links in category B, and one shows links in category C.
All of them are displaying fine EXCEPT, for example, if I add a new link to the Link Manager and assign a category, all 3 widgets display only the title of the one of the widgets. All three have the same title, but none show any links from their category. This pretty much means I can’t add or modify anything related to displaying all of links!
I noticed that you are not responding to support questions very quickly. So, I am thinking I am going to have to look for a new plugin to display my links. But, if you read this and can respond, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
]]>How can I add image locations to the OPML list?
<outline type="category" title="Blogroll">
<outline text="wordpress" type="link" xmlUrl="" htmlUrl="https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress/" updated=""/>
<outline text="wordpress2" type="link" xmlUrl="" htmlUrl="https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress1/" updated=""/>

I would imagine it is like the below?
<outline type="category" title="Blogroll">
<outline image="" text="wordpress" type="link" xmlUrl="" htmlUrl="https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress/" updated="" />
</outline>
Any help is appreciated. I just want to point to the image location.
Thanks
]]>Hello,
I installed this plugin and am quite happy with it.
I do wonder whether there is an option to define that links will be opened in a new tab rather than on my webpage and how to do that.
Thank you!

If you create a link category with a name of an existing post category and after you change link category name it will automatically change post category name… something with the SQL I guess…
