Hi, today we installed last version and when trying to connect to linkedin we got this message:
unauthorized_scope_error:Scope “openid”_is_not_authorized_for_your_application
Great plugin, thank you for creating it????!
One thing, however… I’m noticing that the appearance of posts on LinkedIn have a lot of white space between paragraphs. Even paragraphs that do not have images between them.
I have tried all of the available options:
– Simple Text Message
– Attach Your Blog Post
– Text Message With Image
Please advise. I would very much like to send a tightly formatted output to LinkedIn.
The posts stopped auto-publishing and I see this in the logs:
company/12345: The token used in the request has expired.
How should I get a new token and what is the process?
Hi there,
I created a LinkedIn application and went through the verification process for the Advertising API according to your guide:
However when I click Authorize on the plugin page I get the following error in WordPress:
unauthorized_scope_error:Scope
I’ve tripled checked the settings of both the app and the plugin, and can not find any reason why this won’t work.
Hi, when I tried to create an app in Linkedin following your instructions, the Marketing Developer Platform does not appear as an option. So I can not create the app and the plugin became useless, since I need to publish to the company profile. Thanks for your comments.
Hi, we received an email from Linkedin about changes to their API:
“You’re receiving this message because our records indicate?one or more of your apps requires changes that must be completed by June 30,?2023″.
Are you going to update the plugin before this time?
We are really worried, as we used too your Plugin WP Twitter Auto Publish, and as you know it doesn′t work anymore after Twitter v2 API update.
Are we going to face same problem with you Linkedin plugin, as we faced with your Twitter plugin, that doesn′t work anymore? Or you will be updating it before the update end period?
Thank you for your time and information.
Good morning, Linkedin have sent us several emails stating that they have updated their API and that we should update it too from our side.
Do you know if this will affect the use of the plugin?, or if you are going to update it soon?, or if we should make some kind of change in the plugin configuration?
Thank you in advance.
Do you all plan to release a version compatible with WP 6?
Thanks for all you do!
Can the plugin be used for posting in a linkedin group?
Thank you.
For a client of my I had set up the plugin to auto publish to personal profile.
And it stopped working the other day.
Couldn’t find the LinkedIn app anymore so I went to create a new one. There it’s stated the app need to be associated with a LinkedIn Company Page and not to a member profile page.
So, the question is; Is auto publish to personal profile not possible anymore?
Or am I missing something?
Hi support, This is our post https://cashandcarrymanagement.co.uk/jason-longstaff-appointed-manager-of-parfetts-halifax-depot/ but the image is not being pulled through. This has happened to the last 4 posts.
Has anything changed at LinkedIn or the plugin?
Any ideas on how to sort this please?
Thanks, Alan
Unfortunately, a display error occurs with woocommerce products.
See Screenshot: https://ibb.co/m0QbyQf
Any ideas how to fix this?
Best regards
This WP to LinkedIn Auto Publish plugin is working great but I can’t see why all of the post description content isnt feeding through to LinkedIn. In my sharing options I have the Advanced box ticked so it shows the image then [POST_CONTENT][POST_LINK].
I’d like it to show all of the post content and not just an excerpt. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I got a problem with Posting Method “Text with Image”
I got “Image Upload Failed” in the logs
Is there any restrictions for the image or a special bug with organization oauth2 ?
I just installed this plugin. I’m trying to publish my WordPress posts to my personal LinkedIn profile (not a company page). Under the settings, for the “V2 API usage”, I see these three options. I think “Own app – basic profile fields only” is what I want, right? However, when I choose that, the message on top says I have to create a linkedin application before filling in the following details. The click here to create new Linkedin application link guides me through creating a company page, which then prompts for what kind of company I am representing. I am not a company – I am just doing this as an individual.
How can I get this to just publish WordPress posts to my personal LinkedIn account?
Plugin version 1.7.1
HI the linkedin read more is working fine, however the read more created by this plugin is not working with linked in. It shows html code there,
Read more
Here is the screenshot.
https://prnt.sc/103i1st
The attempts to Reauthorize the app fail. The following error message is returned: The redirect_uri does not match the registered value intext:”Plugin: WP to LinkedIn Auto Publish” (See Screenshot1)
Unknown to me, auto-publishing began failing in November. (See Screenshot2)
System: WordPress 5.5.2 running Executive Pro Theme theme. Using Genesis 3.3.3.
Hi! I’m receiving an error when I try to authorize my LinkedIn Auto Publish App. I’ve been trying to set up the LinkedIn Auto Publish for my company, following the tutorial here: https://help.xyzscripts.com/docs/social-media-auto-publish/faq/how-can-i-create-linkedin-application/.
I verified my company application and sent it to LinkedIn for confirmation, which I received within 24 hours. I checked the the client ID and client secret are correct in the plugin, and the redirect URL is correct under settings. When I clicked Save, everything seemed fine, but when I went to Authorize, instead of getting a verification popup like the tutorial said I should, I instead received the following error: unauthorized_scope_error:Scope.
Any advice as to what I’m doing wrong would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
Hello,
Thank you for the plugin. I have confirmed that my Client ID, Secret and Oath 2.0 URL are set correctly, but when I click on the “Authorize” button, I get the following error:
unauthorized_scope_error:Scope
Please advise, thanks!
hi,
i use your excellent plugin ti publish my articles automatically form my wordpress to my linkedin, but i can’t use the option : Own app-Basic profile fields + company pages
https://www.linkedin.com/company/marula-conseil/
i allready get this error message when i re-authorize
unauthorized_scope_error:Scope Dismiss
Im updating 1.7 version
but did not find option to attach image to linkedin post option
may be i did something wrong, or this option is a sectret ?
Thank you very much for the last update: “Added option to attach image to linkedin post”, but didn′t solve the problems…
I mean, before the image was not attached when publishing a post/page, we had to go to linkedin post-inspector to include the image, after being posted, so wasn′t really of any use. Now with this new feature configured at: Posting Method “Text Message with image”, the link to the post/page doesn′t appear/show, it′s missing.
Is there anyway for fixing both things: To have the post image attached and post link atacched too?
Thanks again for taking the time for trying to solve this situations at Linkedin publishing.

Hi, this morning plugin stopped working. We are using latest version of wordpress and so lot. We didn′t have any problem thru all this time (maybe a year). We created the new api 2.0 some months ago and everything keept working well, but today it stopped. So we created a new app and gave permissions again and it′s verified and confirmed (all in green at Linkedin and at WordPress), but post are not being shared and at logs there is no information at all: https://prnt.sc/oy1dk7 (it′s empty, as you see and you can check too the times we tryed to post them, but with no logs and no efford at all).
Any idea, are there any changes at linkedin? Any solution?
Thanks!
Hi,
I’m using your plugin and it worked well until 2019/07/08 and suddenly stopped. my wordpress version is 5.2. And PHP version is 7.2.16. Think the plugin version is 1.4.7.
Thanks
when reauthorizing plug in I see “Please select share post to profile” warning.
Never seen it before.
When switching to LinkeIn Develop see warning “No company added”.
Does that mean plug in not longer working if no company page exists?
Despite setting everything up according to instructions, getting LinkedIn app approved and authorizing account it still won’t post,
In log:
new : This resource is no longer available under v1 APIs
Hi there! We had to update our Linkedin API 2.0 and OAuth 2.0 settings and everything was ok, I mean the conneting progress, then we had to wait for linkedin to review and activate the permissions for sharing, so they did (confirmed well).
Now, everytime we try to publish at Linkedin doesn′t publish anything, it′s not working.
Could please share some knowledge of if there is something we could do to fix this situation? We have job offer sites and none are working to publish at linkedin so they where before at version 1.0 Linkedin API.
Thanks in advance

I am trying to change the message format from {POST_TITLE} – {PERMALINK} to {POST_CONTENT}
When I click “Update Settings” a ribbon appears at the top that says “Settings updated successfully” but the message format has not been saved, and is reverted to the default.
Any ideas?
[edit]
It is working now! No idea why as I haven’t changed anything.
