The description of this plugin states, “Optionally you can use the User Photo Plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/user-photo/) for images,
otherwise Avatars will be used.”

Unfortunately, the User Photo plugin is now showing this message on my WordPress instance: “The User Photo plugin is out of date and no longer maintained. We recommend switching to the User Profile Picture plugin by Ronalfy.”

Will you be updating your plugin to use the User Profile Picture plugin or make some other change to reflect the end of life of User Photo plugin?

Hello. Ace plugin.

May be in touch about some light customisation. Does nearly everything I need!

Have an issue. I’m getting an error repeating down the page, only when not logged in to the site:

Warning: substr() expects parameter 3 to be long, array given in /var/sites/2/siteurl.eu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/list-site-contributors/list-site-contributors.php on line 458

I am not all to great at code/dev/tweaking.. But trying my best! Switched to the 2014 theme and it is still present.. but not shut off plugins yet (just doing that now).

Any idea where to look to resolve the warning?

I am working on a magazine site with an extensive back catalog of articles and authors. Since the authors will not be given access to the site we have created a custom role of Writer. Is there a way to limit this plugin to only display users with a certain role?

Hey there,

I’m starting to use your plugin, and I had to make an adjustment to the CSS. Perhaps it’s something you want to update in the next release.
The #authorinfo has a fixed width of 650px, but my post-div is not that wide, so I updated it to 100%, and now it fits perfectly.

Hi,

I can’t get the pagination to work.

When I set the parameters to:

$page_limit = 4;
$page_show = 3;
$page_start = 0;

It works, it shows 3 authors and the “Next” option underneed.

When I change the page_limit to 5 and the page_show 4 it doesn’t show the “Next” option. Also for any number higher then 4 and 3 for the page_limit and page_show.

Any clue ?

Only picking up first letter of Biography

Hi,

When not logged in as administrator, the list is only producing the “first” letter of the biography, and then displaying the link. e.g.,:

FirstName Lastname C … More

FirstName Lastname A … More

First Name Lastname D … More

Any idea? I did make a number of edits in the CSS with regards to colors… it is possible I made an error there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I really like this plug-in since I was looking for a way to display the guest writers listed on a page.

I’ve managed to change most of it to what I really need.

I’ve deleted the alpha sorting and searching on last name, which I don’t need. Also made some changes to the css file so it looks better on my template.

BUT, the thing I’m looking for is: How to sort the contributors on the amount of posts they have published.

The idea behind it is quite simple, put the number one poster on top, etc. and it will create a kind of competition between the writers (publishers), so they will add more content to be on top of the list.

Any suggestion ?

I have both “List Site Contributors” and “User Photo” installed and activated. The author “Lillian Africano” has a “User Photo” image uploaded and approved and I know the author “Maralyn D. Hill” has an avatar but no uploaded photo.

But no avatars or uploaded photos are displaying for anybody? Is there a setting I’m missing?

We are having a problem with the read: author’s articles section. The site has about sixty listed authors. Some authors have no posts, but the ones that do, have all the posts from web site. The articles listed under each author’s “read: author’s articles section” are the same though we listed them by specific authors. Do you know how to fix this problem?

I think this has potentail to be a great plugin if it had a few more options. Which is a lot more work for you so that’s why I am thinking you could develop a premium version ??

Like listing the members in random order or by most active. Or being able to exclude certain inactive contributors. Stuff like that.

Love the search, and although a few little challenges.. yes it could be really great!

An excellent plugin and great for this site. The only thing is that WordPress only permits one role per user. In our case the administrators and editors also contribute material in an author capacity. But because they are registered for roles other than author they are not showing up in the list of Contributors.
Is there a way around this other than asking them to set up different usernames for different roles?

And then maybe added into the list once the make their first contribution? otherwise it looks very untidy when it goes to a page saying no posts found

In the FAQ you say it’s possible to link to the author’s website URL, but I’m not sure what shortcode parameter to use. I’ve tried [listsitecontributors=yes] but that will not work.
