Jesus Christ is this bad. Don’t bother. Actually deleted work without even saving, just accessing the editor. Don′t bother.

I have many sites up using LC, but am seeing now that the plugin has not been updated in 11 months and WordPress issues a warning that the current version has not been tested with my current version of WordPress….is LC done?

Simply complete, if you buy the pro it is even better, I hope it will not be discontinued, I love this plugin, it makes my job a lot easier.

I’ve been using Live Composer since 2016. I recommend using this plugin, it’s very easy to use compared to other page builder plugins

I tried to move a progressbar modul on a different location per drag & drop, but nothing working. Not on Chrome or Firefox Browser, I am realy sad about that and i have to find a better solution for my website! ????

Don’t waste your time installing this plugin unless you plan on purchasing the full version. The free version literally does nothing more than what can be done in the native wordpress theme customization. This plugin shouldn’t even be available through wordpress.

Really it pissed me on. Nothing works, it seems one bug follow the next. And the support seems not be interessted to fix any bug. Congrats they destroy one of the best editor in the past.

The only front-end editor which is completely free, so you can make your entire page with no cost. Try others and you will see that you can’t edit headers/footers, can’t create page templates or can’t insert dynamic content (blog/post). With LC you can do it all! Of course it could be better/easier/have more functions/blocks, but you know… it’s completely free! ??

Too much complex, not really adaptive and configurable.
If you need complex structure I strongly do not recommend it!

By far the best WordPress page builder I ever used

It’s to complicated to use and style elements, if you compare it with Elementor. The Program is not bad at all, but i need twice as much Time as with other Pagebuilders.
The User Interface should be completly redesigned.
Thats my major problem with live composer and the reason why i don’t use ist for customer websites.
If that would change, i would use live composer with happiness.
All i can do for now, is to wait for der future changes and to hope for a redesign of the UI.

This is one of the most powerful plugins to make your website beautiful, practical and effective. What I love about it are the possibilities and options that comes with designing. It is so easy to use. Even if you have never build your website, you will know how to build it with the help of this plugin.
Support is very kind, fast and eager to help you.
I recommend you to use it. You will save a lot of time by using live composer.
Thank you again for this plugin.

Yes, it has its limitations, but it is free and does a great job at the basics!

I wish I haven’t started building my website on seowp theme from themeforest which was integrated with Live Composer. I know this crap inside out, javascript is buggy and needs constant overrides and compatibility fixes with plugins, should do as well better json parsing and handling. I was working before with sage.io. And decided to just try this theme out. In the beginning from all images and demos seemed so nice as well as bundled with it Live Composer. But it was damn struggle to make everything in the way I wanted. So had to create almost all custom Live Composer elements to get what I need and still at the end I saw that it was mistake performance wise. Because its easier to code the layout. As well if you’re working on multisite with multiple languages and you have lots of elements you have to translate them individually apply changes individually, you just cannot export/import the code, because translations will be lost. So its best to stick to static. And as one guy before said compared to Elementor Live Composer has aeons to go. Basically Live Composer is another trash in the bucket together with Visual Composer. And as soon as I’ll get the chance I’ll start migrating to sage.io. P.S. If you want to have 12 Factor app don’t use builders at all or at least this one. Development team is probably dropping this project because fixes and features development is going so slow. I will probably release all modules I’ve created in a pack later on. Hope it will be useful for people willing to build review sites.

The comparison of Live Composer with Elementor is very negative for him so ergonomics is withdrawn, the massive coloring of the interface hinders reading, some settings are not accessible from the position at the bottom of the screen of the interface. Nothing is really intuitive.

First, I didn’t have a lot of experience with customising WP – only used Sandwich Builder before or used ‘out of the box’ WP Themes.
I must say that Live Composer Orao Theme was the only one I could find that could accommodate our requirements i.e. replicate previous site design with 100% customised header, front page, blog posts and support of vertical thumbnails. The theme supports – I presume – an unlimited number of widgets inserted in sidebars, pages, headers/footers etc.
DOCUMENTATION: The USER documentation proved to be almost completely useless when building the website. I had to refer to the DEVELOPERS documentation a lot. I also referred to additional documentation/users concerns either on Github or on other Themes support forums that are built on Live Composer.
SUPPORT: The support provided was great and very helpful. On average, I got a response within 24 ish hours.
JS ERRORS: LC is intolerant towards any code errors (both in HTML code and in plugins), which means I had to add extra time for testing.
The error will only appear after you published the changes, switched off the Page Builder and switched it back on. In case of errors, Live Composer doesn’t work – it doesn’t save changes either so even if you delete the code or HTML from the page, the changes can’t be saved.
I either had to create test pages that could be deleted in case of error or insert via widget area HTML, which means I only had to delete the widget HTML/shortcode if it generated an error.
CACHE: the majority of cache and lazy load plugins are breaking the code (in particular, minify option). In my case, both front end and back end stopped working. By way of trial and error, I found out that Hummingbird, Autoptimize, W3 Cache, WordPress Booster, PageSpeed Ninja, and myriad others are not compatible with LC.
I am using BJ Lazy Load and WP Fastest Cache (FREE VERSION). Both do their job without breaking the LC. Sadly, this info is not readily available on LC website or anywhere else. Researching and testing took me a good couple of days. The list of compatible plugins, especially so vital to the website, is an absolute MUST in my opinion.
Lastly, I noticed that carousel-slider.gif file is returning a 404 error on the front page (not deliberately included and can’t change/remove it). It slows down the load speed. I logged the issue and was assured that this will be fixed with next update.
All in all, Live Composer and Live Composer Themes are absolutely crucial solutions if you need a website that doesn’t look like a bland cookie cutter template and if you are prepared to dedicate your time for that. The theme supports vertical thumbnails, which is vital for photography based magazines, portfolios etc. With slight improvements of documentation, in particular ‘How To’ and compatible plugins, the theme will be golden.

Option “border” does not create a border … option “padding” does not make space, it is coded with the feet, to avoid.

Absolutely repugnant ‘interface if it is even deserving of that title and one of the worst examples of “100% free” scam garbage I’ve seen to date. You have to scroll through about 30 buttons one click at a time and look at an ad that says Buy Our Premium Plugins the entire time you are editing your page. Absolutely abhor able and a disgrace to the open source concept and wordpress.

Honestly, I am blown away by how powerful this live editor is. It’s not slow and clunky like ALL of the other builders. I have been designing websites for many years… and in recent years have moved my focus to WordPress. I’ve been testing different themes for different clients for a long time, but when I grabbed the SEO WP theme for my own business to finally get my own site up to par with my clients’… wow. Just wow. I wish I could go back in time and design all of my existing clients’ sites with this builder.
It can get a bit slow in the theme I mentioned with all the goodies and gadgets, but using WP Smush for image reduction, AutoOptimize to optimize css etc and WP Super Cache, I’ve been able to keep my site speed at 60% faster than other sites tested at pingdom.

Best way to setup a personal site. Even with complete blank basic template quick site creation possible.

In version 1.3.1, LC removed the ability of the Testimonials to have their own independent pages and now give a 404 error.
When I brought this up to their support, they told me that I was using the wrong module (telling me I’m using post vs testimonial), which is confusing as I’m entering the testimonials into the testimonials module in the backend, not as a post.
After going back and forth and sending screenshots, come to find out WITHIN the LC design screen they want you to be using a new “testimonial” module, and they removed the coding that gave testimonials their own independent pages.
So, any long testimonials you have, if you do let’s say a 30 character excerpt, no one will ever be able to see anything beyond the 30 characters. If you don’t truncate, then you might have a testimonial that’s let’s say 30 characters, and another one that is 200 characters, which then has to shift the screen, and moves everything for the person viewing your site (which is annoying as all get-out).
I have now been going back and forth with them for almost 2 months (since July 25th) on this, and the essential response I get from the support team is that I am not doing it right (or) something is broken with my server/host, and they won’t even look at what they removed from the coding that is causing this issue… because supposedly no one else is having this issue, or no one else has told them that they are having this issue. (rolls eyes) We didn’t even notice that we had this issue for a month or so after upgrading that site to 1.3.1 or possibly we were already even on 1.3.2? We didn’t know until we had a client tell us, and I would imagine many small businesses, like ours, won’t know until one of their clients/customers tells them (that is if they are keeping up with updating their plugins, etc — which many small businesses don’t) – and most local small businesses won’t have the time to figure it out. Lastly, if you have been using testimonials for awhile, and Google has been indexing them… you will have an increase of 404 errors with Google (as they will look for the page as it was previously indexed), and that can probably hurt your ranking with Google (which is not good for a small, local business) – especially if you have entered in a LOT of testimonials.

AWESOME PLUGIN!!!!!!

I am rating LC without the promise of any increased speed of support. I have actually never taken LC up on this deal, mainly because the Plugin is FREE and I should really have no significant expectation of lightning fast support as a result.
I think that for a free web builder plugin, LC is amazingly capable, easy to use and with minimal defects. We developed our entire website on it, and it has gotten faster as well with improvements that these folks make in their spare time. The developers are basically doing all this moonlighting from their real jobs…..but I digress.
We enjoy using LC to continue to develop our website using drag and drop technology. While not perfect, it’s pretty darned good for free, and the developers are responsive to trying to incorporate features recommended by users. Takes a bit of getting used to the builder, as is the case with most builders, but you can even start from scratch when you want a fully custom build using their Blank theme. They also have nice add-ons!
Highly recommend getting Slider Revolution to go with…it is fully integrated into LC and is a phenomenal plug-in as well (although not free).

I’ve used Live Composer to build out a couple WP sites for clients so far and I find it to be quite a good product—particularly for a free plugin.
As for the complaints here about individual user support, I think this is being unfair. Again, this is a FREE product. You can hardly expect a company with this model to pay someone to snatch up the phone the second you call and spend countless hours solving your glitch.
If you don’t have time to research their forum and can’t wait a couple days for them to get back to you, pay the $9 for their premium support. This is a bargain considering all this company is giving you.
