hi
thanks for a great plug in.
how can i translate this into my language?
thanks.
1) What can I add to the Sidenotes plugin CSS to force comments etc to appear over the layout & contents? I have a custom theme and as you can see the Sidenotes appear under the layout. I’m assuming z-index will do the job?
2) Also is it possible to remove the Sidenotes information button that appears at the top of the content?
Just curious about this, as I’m trying to remove as many barriers between readers and any possible participation.
Does the use of Livefyre Sidenotes require the purchase of a Livefyre StreamHub package? Or, is it provided as a free service similar to Livefyre Comments?
Is there any way to simply have the Sidenotes text-entry box pop up as soon as text is highlighted, without forcing the user through the intermediate step of selecting between the [Write/Tweet/Facebook] options?
For certain uses of Sidenotes, such as my site, writing sidenotes will be the ONLY use: there are no circumstances in which users will want to Tweet or send their selection to Facebook, it would be much smoother if I could have the option of jumping them straight to writing the sidenote.
Also, for users of the extremely popular Mac app PopClip, it is actually difficult to click the [Write/Tweet/Facebook] pop-up because it is hidden behind the PopClip pop-up.
Hi Livefyre team,
I think the idea is great, and helps to create better interactivity with content.
I installed in a website I’m currently building up (calgarianvanguard.com). The comments look to work, but sidenotes aren’t showing up. Is there any additional set up step in addition to installing and validating the pluging?
Cheers,
Daniel Rodriguez
I would like to use comments on two post types and sidenotes on one post type…
comments: posts + portfolio
sidenotes: posts
The problem is that when I disable sidenotes for [portfolio] then sidenotes disables on [posts] too. As I understand both systems should work independently yet it seems I can only get pages to show both comment systems together. Any ideas how to solve this issue? I’m using both WordPress plugins.
Also I believe the sidenotes info button at the top seems to disrupt the CSS layout of my theme, is it possible to disable the button? This would be a useful feature in the settings.
Or does it use the core WP comments system?
How can I disable the commenting feature on posts or pages where I don’t want comments added? Turning off the WP-based commenting checkbox in the post/page doesn’t make a difference.
First of all, well done guys! This is such a great plugin.
It’s working very nicely with basic tag like
and ; but doesn’t seem to work with
and
. Do you know if this is a known limitation?
Thank you,
HH
Hi,
first: I am really excited about this plugin, trying it out on my blog and love it so far!
My question: Can I translate this plugin? There are no .po files.
