Hi, Stephen,
Hope all is well.
I know this is not a supported plugin, but it really is a great one.
Recently, the values being converted are wrong, however. Can you help look into it ?
Like in this webpage, for example. SGD is supposed to be about half of GBP, but it comes out very close to SGD.

Hello!
For example I open the page in the Belarus and it should be automatically already in belarus ruble, same like for other countries. But I see only US Dollar as defaut. If I choose currency manually – it works fine…
Can you help me?
Thanks!

]]>Vietnamese Dong (VND) are not converting correctly.
When I specify [localcurrency]120,000 VND[/localcurrency] it gets converted to GBP£83340.00.
Using xe.com it should come to £3.72.
]]>Hi!!
Is there any way to just simply automatically convert USD to ZAR – the ZAR in the brackets, instead of using everyone’s local currency? Thanks! ??
]]>Hello Stephen,
is there a way to call this up in my WooCommerce templates via a PHP function call?
I tried do_shortcode, but of course that doesn’t work in the template files..
Cheers

Plugin doesn’t seem to work properly with page cache from W3TC.
It will cache the currency of the webhost and display it regardless of the location of the visitor.
Apart from deactivating the page cache, is there a way around this?
(P.S. I love the plugin, best one so far)
]]>Hi
This looks like a great plugin, but I’m struggling to make it work.
My problem is that I’m running nginx, and wp-config is 1 level above the root (ie /var/www/booqs.net/wp-config.php) however wp-settings is in the root (/var/www/booqs.net/htdocs/wp-settings.php).
I have hacked getexchangerate.php to accommodate wp-config, but can’t seem to solve the path for wp-settings:
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/var/www/booqs.net/wp-settings.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/booqs.net/wp-config.php on line 84
I’m sure it’s a minor fix, but I can’t get my head around it!
Thanks in advance
ROB
Firs of all let me say the plugin works smoothly.
Just a little enhancement I want to do is to add some space between the amount generated and the symbols since for some currencies they even can be confused by numbers.
Thank you,
]]>Hi!
I’m trying to use this with my product prices but it doesn’t work. Though it does work on posts/pages…
Is there any way I can make this work?
Great plugin btw..
Thanks!

Hello Stephen,
After many years we are still using your currency plugin and we are very happy about it. For some reason we would need to change the currency source.. Now I believe you are using yahoo. how can we switch to https://www.xe.com ?
Hey i am using your plugin i wanted to add one more currency in that plugin.
that is RMB or yuan, could you please help me out how can it will work.
thanks.
]]>Hello, Stephen, just updated to the latest version 2.7
However, it seems that when selecting currencies in the “Show currencies in”, the conversion is not done – i.e. nothing happens.
Example usage here :
https://www.astrasuite.com/astrablog/bat-rex-tube-preamplifier/
Please take a look into it ?
Thanks
P.S. I am using the workaround you gave here :

Somebody has the same issue?
]]>Hi,
Like my topic states, is there any way to execute local currency plugin within the php of a custom template page?
Any help would be much appreciated and thanks for an awesome plugin!
]]>I am in Singapore, but I my server is hosted in the USA, Bluehost, as it is cheaper than where I am.
LocalCurrency seems to be looking at the server (?) as when I access one of my pages with LocalCurrency active, it shows me the price in USD.
I also tried WorldCurrency last time, it was showing me the right currency in SGD.
Just a note, it doesn’t matter to me as it still shows the SGD next to the USD, but it would be nice if it shows the currency of where I am.
]]>Is there any way to get this plugin working for ALL instances of a currency on a page/site?
I have quite a lot of prices on my pages generated by a meta_key value that I write in a custom field when I’m posting things and obviously the shortcode tags don’t cover that.
That’d be a super cool feature though, just offer visitors a dropdown of the currency they’re using then auto convert every instance of it on the page they’re viewing.
]]>My site is set for USD currency and as soon as it loads (my test page) I notice that it converts USD to USD making the fields change from $4.99 to USD$4.99. Is there a way to keep this from doing that if the default is already USD? In other words, to only convert once the combo box has been updated to a different currency? Thanks.
]]>Hello,
Great plugin! I was just curious if there was a way to move the location of the actual drop down list “Show currencies in ‘US Dollar USD'” that appears at the bottom of the page. I would like to place it above the tables that it will be used for so that they can be changed before reviewing the data.
Thank you very much for this plugin!!
Here is, literally, what I inserted in a plain page :
<!–LCSTART–>100<!–LCEND–>
(I’m not sure if it should be <lc></lc>)
Resulting page preview show 100 and nothing else.
Here is the test result page https://www.groupemedia.com/test/
I’m in Canada.. so I should see about 98 CDN instead of 100.
Also I can not find the Localcurrency Quicktab
]]>I am using Jazzy forms to create a fee calculator for my website. I would really like to be able to use Local Currency on the total fee output section on the form. But how can I do that?
Thanks
]]>I love the idea that this uses comments instead of shortcodes for futureproofing, and it works fabulously—thank you for creating it! Unfortunately, I have just brought all my plugins up to code to accept shortcodes for currency conversion purposes, and I find that this plugin doesn’t render conversions within the content generated by other plugins. Is there any chance for a version that gives the user a choice between shortcode and HTML comment?
]]>Hi,
First I couldn’t make LocalCurrency work at all, because the guides are citing incorrect tags – one must use the normal http comment:
<!--LCSTART-->102,00 PLN<!--LCEND-->
Now the plugin works, but the amounts shown are not correct. If I want to show Polish Zloty (PLN = Polish Nominals) in Euro, I do not get about 4.5 smaller amount, but a larger amount (multiplied by different factor).
I still haven’t test if the language-dependent decimal point is allowed.
