This is the best plugin for opt-in subscription on your WordPress website or blog. Used with the free MailChimp service this plugin provides tons of customizing options and seamlessly integrates into your footer or before/after your blog content. Customizing does take some time to do but well worth the effort!

I use MailChimp for my lists and Magic Action Box is GREAT! But I have to say that at first I got a little confused while setting it up but once I spent some time working on it I found out that this plugin was exactly what I needed.
I wish the free version had more pre built styles but hey, what more styles? support the plugin upgrading but the free version gives you the option to create your own styles so it is just a matter of taking your time and doing it. It’s super easy to make it your own.

I use the Avada theme with Fusion Builder. The boxes look great, but I can’t seem to get the horizontal display to show, even though I have the box checked off ‘enable horizontal layout.’
Is there something I am missing?

This plug in had some kind of conflict with my theme so I decided not to use it. But when I tried to disable it, I couldn’t do it without breaking my site. I contacted support and though I had only downloaded a free version, they came right to my aid. Spent time going over my code and finding out what i’d done wrong, and then disabled the plug in for me. Wow! If I ever have enough money to update my site, I’ll go with this company for my opt in forms. First rate. Very professional and helpful!

I’ve tried a few similar to Magic Box and none do the job or there is always a catch.
If you want a hassle free experience and are tired of looking around for a decent email subscriber box then this is the one.

You need the pro-version if you want to use it.
You are not able to do anything of the things showed in the screenshot section.
I would say only 10% of the plugin functions are applicable without paying.

This plugin slows your web site and gives page speed error at Google.

I wasn’t as flabbergasted by the lack of functionality in the plugin (basically, you can’t do anything) as I was at the price of the pro — the one the author of the plugin is using the WordPress repository to promote. This was hardly philanthropic.
Ironically, it comes with a Gravity Forms add-on (which functions horribly) — but if you’ve already purchased Gravity Forms, as I have, the Mailchimp & AWeber add-ons come with it — so there’s no point.
Basically, you can just use your MailChimp or AWeber account to create an opt-in form with 4 predefined styles. But that’s all you can do. Might as well just get the real MailChimp signup form. You can’t create a magic box to do anything else — just e-mail signups.
As far as the price, it’s atrocious. This guy wants $47 for an upgrade, and $97 for his best magic box. Just go to Code Canyon and search for WordPress Action Box or Call to Action and you’ll see things for $10 or $15 bucks.
I gave it 2 stars ’cause at least it has an opt-in e-mail form, so as long as you have a MailChimp or AWeber account, you can do something (but not much).

I downloaded the free version and found a tiny little problem with one of the buttons due to my WordPress theme. All I can say is the support is first class and was worked on until fixed …. on Sunday. I feel guilty using the free version due to this fantastic support. The box styles are really nice looking and it was the easiest subscribe plugin I have used to date unlike a few others.

Struggling to find an opt-in interface that was easy and beautiful, I came across Magic Action Box through the Wysija Newsletter plug-in. The marriage of these products is phenomenal and I am finally enjoying doing newsletters and marketing (even though I’ve just started using both products).
Using Magic Action Box is a dream! It does exactly what it says on the tin… it is MAGIC!! It gives a customized interface that you can design to meet your needs in an interface that is easy to use and understand.
I’m looking forward to upgrading from the free to a premium version. Dean has done a terrific job on this plug-in and it doesn’t get better! How will you know??? You won’t until you try it for yourself.
One tip: I initially had a problem with the widget. I found that a couple of my other plug-ins were creating the issue and deleted them… now, the widget is marvelous!!! Check for conflicts if you find you are having an issue… it could be another, unnecessary plug-in!

I was an early adopter of both Magic Action Box and Wysija newsletter plugin.
MAB and their support are both totally fabulous. If you think the ‘out of the box’ styles are terrific then wait til you start playing around with making your own personalized boxes – that takes optins and click thrus to a new level.
This is a very much recommended plugin, even if you just use the Lite version. Go grab it and try it out for yourself.
