Hi, I updated the plugin recently. Even though the maps still seem to work fine on the front end, they don’t appear in the administration panel, on the list of maps for editing.

I flushed all the possible caches, including server, CDN, browser, re-installed the plugin. No change.

All the demos I see have a search at the top for like zip code. Both on my site and the Map Press Pro demo site I can’t get that search to appear above the map. I reset the settings to default. Still no search.

Received a Google Maps security notification yesterday titled “[Security Alert]: Polyfill.io Issue for Google Maps Platform users” — is that a concern for this plugin? Here’s what it said:

We have become aware of a security issue that may be affecting websites using specific third-party libraries (including polyfill.io). This issue can sometimes redirect visitors away from the intended website without website owner knowledge or permission, or potentially cause other malicious behavior. Many of the Maps JavaScript API samples in the Developer Documentation previously included a polyfill.io script declaration. We have removed this from those samples. If you have used the Maps JavaScript API samples that contain this declaration, we recommend removing the declaration.

1. Investigate your website: Check your website’s code to see if you’re loading any compromised libraries (including polyfill.io).
2. Remove or replace the code: If you find compromised libraries, consider:
   • Hosting a clean, secure version of the code yourself
   • Switching to an alternative library or provider
   • Removing the library if you don’t need it
3. Re-deploy your code through your regular process.

We have been using this plugin for years without issue. But since the recent update it has caused a major issue on my site and I now get the white screen when trying to access the plugin dashboard or other plugins settings. My hosting company sent an error email and named MapPress Google Maps and Leaflet Maps as the issue. I deactivated the plugin for now.

When multiple pins are added to the map, the iFrame stays empty and map is not shown. I disabled all plugins and switched to default theme, but still no results with multiple pins.
I use PHP 8.3 and WordPress 6.5.2.

Is it possible to show a route map with this plugin?

I need to show a trail of hiking but I can’t seem to add it using the plugin functionality … or I’m missing something.

The map simply stopped working. Since the last updates, the plugin has been full of issues. Tryed with iframe and without iframe.

I’ve just noticed that the addresses that should be in the location cards on the maps are no longer there and is now displaying below the map. The three maps are located in the footer.

I installed this map plugin for testing. I think this plugin can do exactly what I am looking for. I am using POI Data fields, but when I am using a text with a hyphen (like in Email or website) the map disappear and I got some text of the POI Data below the empty map.

I’ve installed the plugin, created a map and when I update it or go back to the maps page, it simply says that I don’t have any maps created, yet I have the map working via shortcode. Now I want to edit the map and I can’t.

Hi, I always see this warning whenever I want to update the plugin and go to check what is updated:

Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.

I have the current WordPress Version 6.4x whereas the plugin page says that it is required WordPress Version: 5.9.5 or higher

It is still showing this message even after the plugin update. There’s no other problem with it except showing this message.

We are having trouble updating the plugin. We are currently on 2.83.7. The plugin updater did not work so we tried a manual update via FTP and this gave us the error:

Call to undefined method Mappress_Filter::get_url_params()

This was shown on the admin and the frontend. Any ideas?

Hi, I have updated the plugin to 2.87.3 version but now I have problem to add new POI in the map (also to modify an existing POI). In the “Add new” window the search function and the POI list is disappeared.

Now I have done a roolback to 2.87.2 version and all work correctly. How i can solve it? below the screeshot.

Hi,

I was using your plugin for several months without bigger issues. However, today I noticed that the map isn’t displayed on the website (it should be jest below the contact form, now – there is a blank rectangle).

I tried adding the shortcode block again but without success.

I had similar issue in the past, the walkaround described in the last comment fixed it:

Unfortunately, this doesn’t help now, the problem can’t be fixed this way.

My map is placed on the site using shortcode because I don’t see the MapPress blocks in my editor – I’m using Gutenberg as a full-site-editor. Are the blocks available for Gutenberg?

Is there any way I can bring my map back? What info do you need for further troubleshooting?

The images function in Media tab of the map does not work. I want to add image for each map point. When I try and click on image button on Media tab the function stays behind the map settings. I can not do anything.

I have no WPML or other multilanguage plugin. I just want to change “Get Directions” to “Click for Google Map”. How can I do that?

Hi. Just to notify that all the readme.txt files of the plugin since v2.85 still indicate “Requires PHP: 5.6”

This should be changed to avoid auto-upgrade on sites still over under php 5.6 platforms. Also, in the detailed view of this page, when we choose to download v2.84.23, we get the 2.85 version.

I recently received an email from Google about a “Publicly accessible Google API key for Google Cloud Platform project”, referring to a page on my website. When looking at the page source I see the API key in 2 places where a JS script is called. Should I be concerned since I have restricted the key usage to specific websites?
