Hello,
The HTML formatted emails which the plugin sends out have unprocessed HTML code like
tags throughout the text of the email. For example:
“
Hello Friends,

We meet today…
”
Is there a fix to process the HTML tags in the email text or to remove them?
Thank you,
John
Hi when I select ‘Mass Messaging’ nothing is displayed below it. The Inbox, Starred, Sent and Compose options all display information below them. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Please help
Hi,
We are running PHP 7.3 and are seeing the following and similar in the logs.
PHP Warning: “continue” targeting switch is equivalent to “break”. Did you mean to use “continue 2”? in /wp-content/plugins/mass-messaging-in-buddypress/includes/implementation.php on line 275
also lines 271 and 267
Thanks
Hello, we installed the plugin in Scaffies.NL and it is working fine.
Just one little snag: we suddenly kept seeing blank notifications – and it took us a while to trace it back to the mass messaging plug-in.
I would gladly attach a screenshot, but alas, not possible here.
The notifications are blank, with out content, and not clickable. You can only mark them read or delete them.
Any way to fix this? That would be great.
We are running WordPress 5.0.3
Thanks!
The Scaffies Admin Team
I can find the button “Mass Messaging” but nothing happens when I click on it.
It seems the plugin does not work with WordPress 4.9.8
Hi,
On the website of one of my clients we are running mass message for buddypress.
Now every time they send an message to all there recipients the blue loading bar gets stuck on 100. with the message Sending messages (100/163)
I see more people have this problem, only im not seeing any solutions.
Hope this can be solved.
My regards,
Boy
This is a great plugin. Thanks for the efforts.
Right now, a group admin can email any group. I was thinking that group admins would only be able to email their own groups.
Is there a way to restrict admins to their groups? If not, it would be an awesome addition.
Thanks again.
Is it possible to use HTML tags within the content of the email? Mine seem to disappear, and just the text is put in a blockquote tag in the actual email. I would like to be able to send links to new posts/pages within these mass emails
Hi
The plugin has worked well for a while. We updated wordpress as well as all the plugins. Now Mass Messaging does not load the users when you open it. You can select send to all users but it tells you there aren’t any. The list of users does not load. I have tried disabling all plugins except buddypress, bbpress and mass messaging. Same story.
Hello,
I miss the checkboxes to choose users etc. under the menu (page) Mass Messagins
I use theme twentysixteen without side menu for these choices, but horizontally below the user account.
Any idea?
Thanks.
Hello and first of all: Thank you for that plugin, which is indeed usefull.
(a) Wouldn’t it be usefull, that Admins can sent also messages to groups, where they are not member of?
(b) I’ve build an de_DE.po. How can I send you this? I don’t want to do the work again in the translation project…
(c) There are some text which won’t be translated (such as “Subject” oder “Message”, “Select all users”…). Would be nice, if there’s the posibility to localize these texts.
Thanks!
I’d like to be able to control what fields are displayed from the user data and the order that it is display – for example, alphabetical by last name.
I’d also like to either show the user role or some other identifying feature.
Thanks.
Dear Team,
We have using this plugin for send message to bulk user after login we fill the subject and message field after send message showing please login error
How to resolve this issues kindly help me.

Well we just found out the hard way the great danger of using the ‘Send as a Single Thread’ setting with the MASS MESSAGING feature. Our test only involved 55 users, but every time a user responded, their response went to everyone.
This slowed down our site to the point of crippling it, and each user had almost 100 Messages in their inbox – with the great delay, some people pushed the SEND button multiple times, so everyone got multiple Replies. The email continue to come 2 days later as people continue to respond to this…
I cannot think of a time when we would ever want to use this Setting. Could you please tell me how to hide this setting for the MASS MESSAGiNG feature?
Where is the documentation for the MASS MESSAGING feature? It would really be helpful if you could include a brief ‘tooltip’ for each setting when one move’s our cursor over a field. I had no way of knowing the ‘Send as a Single Thread’ setting would cause so many problems.
Thanks much!!
Hi all,
After i use Mass Messaging in BuddyPress, in my messages sent list, i have lots of row for the same message sent.
Is there a way to get only 1 row for each mass messaging sended ?
Thanks,
BuddyPress 2.7.4
All works well.
However we have emailing turned off for buddypress messages so they can only be read on the site. However this overrides this and emails the user as well. Is there an easy way to stop the emails being sent but the messages still appear on their profile
I have +400 members, but the plugin stops abruptly when it has sended 100 pm’s..
BuddyPress Version 2.8.2
WordPress 4.7.4
Hello everyone, I have installed mass messages. It all works (except translation), but I can not see the icon “star.” On the site I see only the F154 code, not the star. How can I fix the problem?
I may be doing something wrong, but the plugin doesn’t seem to be working at all. I don’t get any options to group message. Is there any issue with the latest version of wordpress / buddypress /bbpress?
Hi… just returned to Mass Messaging now I have upgraded my PHP version to one that works with it.
A feature request (unless you tell me a better way): Could we have an option to suppress the sending of the emails for a particular message?
Rational: From time to time I want to send messages/advice to my users about, say, how to make good use of the site or avoid pitfalls. But I don’t want to bother them with emails. At present I can send an ‘all users notice’ which appears as a banner at the top of every page until they dismiss it. ( Many of my naive users never seem to so, struggling on with the banner obscuring the page!) But the next message replaces the previous one and hence earlier messages get lost. It seems to be that, with the requested feature, I could place a message in everybody’s inbox to be discovered by those competent enough to do so.
I installed the plugin and all works fine, with one exception: email notifications are never sent to receiving members.
I’ve double checked the plugin’s settings, and all looks in order there.
Any ideas?
Hi… when I upgrade to v4.6.1 I get this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in {snip} /plugins/mass-messaging-in-buddypress/includes/instance.php on line 30
There is no problem with the previous version, which I have reverted back to.
Any ideas? thanks.
Interesting plugin, would like to use it. Did anyone test this with 4.6.1? And will the developers continue to develop this plugin in the future?
Hi,
nice plugin! I would like to use it in other languages but the .pot translation file included with the plugin is somehow incorrect and cannot be opened and edited with poedit. The translation files downloadable from translate.www.ads-software.com are correct but only contain the back-end terms which, in fact, I do not really need to translate. However, the front-end strings which need to be translated for non-English users are not included!
Would you please correct the .pot file, add to it and mark as translation-enabled the front-end strings currently residing in the file
/wp-content/plugins/mass-messaging-in-buddypress/includes/implementation.php
The following front-end terms are in concern:
Subject
Message
Users
Select All Users
Groups
Select All Groups
Send as single thread?
Send Message
as well as the BP profile messages sub-navigation menu item name:
‘Mass Messaging’
All of them can be found in the above mentioned file …/includes/implementation.php
One could translate them easily in that file but would lose the changes after each plugin update and this would also not solve multilingual multi-site installations.
Best Regards,
Stefan.
Would it be possible to have the subject field editable please?
Currently it goes out as “New Message from Username” This is pretty bland and does not reflect the nature of the email, it would be much better if I could edit it in order to make it more specific to that email, such as “Site Newsletter” or “Group Newsletter”
Hi there,
I have a client requesting that the sender be cced when they send a mass message out. They are also stating that the emails are not reaching their recipients. I am thinking this is a SPAM issue but wanted your thoughts. Again, the most important thing is that the sender receive a copy of their email when sending through mass messaging. Please let me know if this is an option.

Is this what it’s supposed to look like? The screenshots on the plugin page look different. I also don’t see single thread?
