]]>You have included the pluggable.php file way before its intended to be used. The thing is, many themes and plugins rely on over-riding some functions defined in the pluggable.php file of WordPress, but since you included it while initialisation of your plugin, other plugins and themes will not be able to over-ride any of the function/s defined in that file.

]]>Hi there,
I recreated a website on WordPress that was previously running on Joomla. It’s a news/reporter website, so the old site had many hits on the various articles.
I installed the Mechanic Post Hits Counter on the site because I need to show the article hits on the new site, but I need to include the amount of hits that each article already had on the old website.
I tried to update the number of hits in the database for each article (post), but the new number in the database doesn’t reflect on the front end of the website. The front end only displays the hits it gets on each page, regardless of the new numbers I put in the database.
Any way around this?

]]>I have installed the mechanic counter on the static first page of my wordpress blog. Theme twenty twelve.
I am getting the correct display on the bottom right of the first page, but it is preceded with a bunch of code that looks something like this:
.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/mechanic-visitor-counter/styles/image/chevy/0.gif' alt='0'>
This appears five times and then the correct display of the counters appears.
It is too ugly to leave installed, so you cannot see an instance at my website. But the site can be seen by going to

]]>Hi, I’ve been trying to figure out this but wasn’t successful — the post counter leaps forward sometimes by 9 or 10 (esp. if I wanted it to show on the blog main index page). And then suddenly it would bounce back to a smaller number (when I click from inside a post to move forward or backward to a next/previous post, and when I put this on pages). My WP version 3.4.1. I’m wondering if there’s a way you could help us fix this. Thank you!

]]>I have doubts because the counter seemed to be inconsistent. For example, when I click on postno1, and if the counter for it is 20; then when I click on a postno2, I see 21, postno3: 22, postno4: 23 etc.. It is always n+1
