The site I am working on experiences a problem when viewing the Media Grid videos in full screen mode as a slider video that is used at the top of the page is meant to “pause/start” when the slider itself is technically inside the viewport. And when the videos from Media Grid are taken “full screen”, the video player removes the scrollbars from the page, essentially taking the web page to the very top again (without the user knowing), and then just places the video on top of everything so you never really see where the page’s current scroll position is.
I tried some custom CSS as a workaround but it didn’t seem to work:

Basically what we need here is for the video player to not use any of the following CSS properties on any of its elements in any state (normal or fullscreen)
position: fixed;
overflow: hidden;
and then the page won’t secretly jump to the top when the video goes into fullscreen.
I have contacted the makers of the slider plug in and they have said that there isn’t any changes that can be made that will fix this – the changes need to be made to Media Grid.
If you could please suggest some solutions, I would really appreciate it. Otherwise we may need to consider swapping out Media Grid for another plug in which would be a shame because it is an excellent product.

When using the “Blog – masonry & grid” page template in the7 theme for a page that is being displayed on a smaller browser window (1230px on Chrome while testing), the grid does not display according to the settings for the page. If I enter 3 in the “desired columns number”, then the page displays only two columns on initial page load. If I enter a number larger than 3 in “desired columns number” then the last column is cut off (user cannot scroll to show the last column completely).
If the browser window is resized, the grid resizes the images to match the settings but if the user then reloads the page, the same bad layout reappears.

This issue disappears if I disable the Media Grid plugin.

]]>I really love the plugin but I’ve finally got all my photos in and I’m struggling to get them where I want them. I’m trying to drag them into place. Even when there’s an empty spot, the green box that seems to highlight where the new placement will be will not go to this spot even when dragging the image over the empty spot. I figure I must not understand something about the mechanics so thought I would ask. How can I gain greater control over where an image is placed within the grid?

Setup this site for my local astronomy club this Friday and when launched the gallery page was working fine, with MediaGrid plugin.
However, since yesterday it has stopped working on hover and doesn’t do anything when individual images are clicked.
PLEASE HELP – I am not sure what has caused this to stop working and really need to get more pics on (working!) before my next meeting this coming Tuesday.

]]>Everything worked fine creating new items, creading first grid and placing it on my page. When I now am about to create a second grid in the Grid Builder I can create it and placec items withing. Then I save it (it says Grid saved at the top). I visit another page and then go back to the Grid Builder and opens the second grid and it is empty. No items where saved. What could be wrong?

My problem is that I just updated my WP Job Manager Plugin today (Oct. 13) and since I updated this plugin, the following warning came up:

Unfortunately, this means I can’t use Media Grid as all of the images are distorted. It’s quite an ugly site, guys.

]]>Hi. I’ve successfully gotten Media Grid to run in my very basic website. I have gotten a Flash animation to run (fine) in Media Grid – however, it is playing in the browser (not a Flash player) and it is expanding the size of the movie past its authored size. Is there a way I can get my Flash movies to run in Media Grid in a player? … and so the movie is playing in its original size? I did get a Flash player plugin – but it doesn’t seem to work when movies are in Media Grid. Thanks for any help! MissParker
]]>I built my media grid and love it! But…I’m using Customizr WordPress theme and am using the media grid in my home page. In the customize options of my theme template (Customizr) I cannot upload my logo into the header. I have tried reinstalling the theme, using custom css and code snippets to go around it by placing a image background in the header with my logo in it to no avail. I then tried installing the Customizr theme in a new directory without the media grid and the logo upload works fine. Can anyone tell me how to fix it so I can use the medica grid with the Customizr theme?

I am using the media grid to serve content through links (selecting ‘link’ as the media type when creating a grid item). The problem I am having during testing for accessibility is that the grid just sits and and hangs indefinitely when the browser is set to block images.
In order to have valid HTML, don’t images need to display an ‘alt’ text description when that content is blocked by the browser? I would like the links to continue to serve this content even if the thumbnail images don’t or can’t load.

The category menu that I am using isn’t as responsive as Media Grid, so that is why I purchased this plugin. However, how do I put the Media Grid that I create onto my homepage? I know how to make the grid, the only thing I can’t figure out is how to make it show on my site.
The theme I use right now is the Grid Responsive Theme. I have it set up to show my blog posts and sort them by categories, but I’d rather scrap my category menu and blog posts and just use the Media Grid plugin to accomplish all of this.

You can see the name on the both of the images is the same, and i need wordpress to grab the title or description or whatever text it can of the image provided and put it down there, instead using the same title for every one.
I believe this is the part in the code that does that.

]]>I am watching the Walkthrough Videos on the Code Canyon website. They are very confusing, but I am trying to follow this step by step to see if I can get anything to work. I don’t have a good idea of the overview of what is supposed to happen.
I have watched the Custom attributes and Item categories video several times. I gave up on Item Attributes because I don’t understand how and where they will be applied.
I then attempted to follow “Add New Item Category.” However, in my dashboard, even after I enter a name, slug and order number there isn’t a blue button that says Add New Item Category. So I can’t create item categories. There is only a Add New Contact Block blue button on the page.
How critical is the Item Category settings to getting “something” to look at? I have made several Media Grid Items, links to webpage that uses a Featured Image. But how do they get onto a page into a grid? I am clueless what to do with them now.

Changing the width of .media-sidebar to 210px in the Inspector fixes the problem. It’d be nice if this could be fixed in the plugin itself.
