Is there anything else out there? That lets you save media that uses an external link?
I tried using this feature, and it saves. The URL
shows correctly in the “File Url” section in the edit mode of the media file.
But when i try to add the media into a post, the src is empty.
]]>This is a great plugin. Dear developer I beg you to restore the plugin. It is indispensable!
]]>I just see this after importing with URL (first image with caption): https://d.pr/i/1l5Od/3kLAK3Bh
I’m also using Advanced Custom Fields image gallery to choose images, and does not work with URL import images.
Why doesn’t Media Helpers just download the remote URL and get it into the media library? Am I missing something?
I wanted to know if this plugin would allow me to switch the hundreds of PDF links from the old site (not WordPress-built), and import the PDFs into the media library and update the link. Is this possible? If not, is there a plugin that can – not just for images?
]]>Does Duplicate work with WordPress 3.6.1? All it seems to do is open the “Edit Media” page. No duplication seems to have occurred, unless I am not understanding how it works.
]]>I installed the plugin but it is not clear how to use it. How can I use an external URL as the media file and save it to the database like an uploaded media? How can I change the file of a media without creating a new media entry? Could you provide details?
