It is really suboptimal that the buddy-press member list is publicly visible by default (bye-bye privacy, hello spammers).
This nice and simple plug-in protects the buddypress members page, showing it only to registered members, which is a common practice.

The plugin only restricts the main page, e.g: members
You sill can access the sub-pages like members/username
