I’ve tried a few galleries and lightboxes, most try to do things in their own way. Meow plugins ‘fit’ much better with wordpress, look great and the developers are very responsive for issues.

There are a lot of lightbox plugins. As a photographer hosting and developing my own site, I’ve tried many of them. Many of them are good in some ways, but really miss the mark on others. This one brings the right balance of attractive UI and functionality. It’s a plugin I enjoy implementing as an admin and also seeing the results as a user.

There is really little to add to the title of this review other than to congratulate the Developer Mr. Jordy Meow.
As mentioned in the title of this review, the Meow Lightbox WordPress plugin is really well designed and coded, it also turns out to be very streamlined, lightweight and packed with lots of features and most importantly it works perfectly (mind you, do not confuse the errors that can be caused by an incompatibility with obsolete versions of PHP, because using the updated versions of PHP and supported by this plugin, although I have been using this plugin for a long time, I have not yet encountered any errors in this plugin).
Basically, with Meow Lightbox, this simple but very powerful plugin for WordPress, you can have a responsive Lightbox designed specifically for photography that can also display EXIF data also allows you to have a responsive layout which is great on mobile devices, tablets and on larger screens, and still responsive images so the same image resolution will adapt to both screens and mobile devices as well as having the ability to display image / EXIF information such as shutter speed, aperture, camera, lens and much, much more.
Oh I forgot… it is virtually completely free but there is also a paid Professional version available (optionally) that adds, for those who need it, support for:
To finish I still give my compliments to the Developer Mr. Jordy Meow and I can only recommend you to try it because it is really an Excellent plugin for WordPress and I am very proud to have completely translated it into Italian!

On the market of Lightbox plugins, this one really stands out with a wide variety of options, settings, etc.. A great addition to the Lightbox is the ecosystem plugins that are very useful and well-supported.
I had some issues with 3rd party plugin that the developer kindly researched and offered a solution that could eliminate similar problems. The developer informed he will try to implement it in the coming update.
Overall, I am pleased with the paid version of the plugin and its support.

Works great with both the Meow Gallery (duh) and the built in options for galleries and images (both Gutenberg and MCE). The only flaw I can find is that sometimes it’s overzealous and tries to take over images that are posted as links. Easily fixed with a nogallery class, but still somewhat annoying.

What a fantastic experience I had with this one! It’s probably the only Lightbox plugin that I didn’t have to configure. Just installed it and forgot about it. Works great with GeneratePress and Rank Math SEO plugin, with the second one being mostly the problem as other alternative plugins didn’t support it.

I was looking for a lightbox plugin to use with my theme. The theme I chose came with two lightbox plugins. However, none of them supported the display of EXIF ??data. They also didn’t give much optically. Searching brought me to the Meow lightbox. Immediately after activation, the Meow lightbox worked beautifully with my already installed theme. Exactly what I wanted. A win for my website project, both functionally and visually.
