I tried three modules (Quick View, Buy Now and Trust Badges). None of them worked as illustrated in the demo. I really wanted this plugin to work. It was even reviewed by someone whose opinion I previously valued.
Product descriptions in quick view were unreadable unless they were only one line (approx. 5 words), which is shorter than most brief descriptions. It also provided jumbled looks at the category and SKU, while providing no way to edit line height. BTW, who puts the SKU in quick view anyway?
The buy now button couldn’t be edited (but quick view could, go figure).
The trust badge module provided loads of dark humor, but no trust badges. That’s right, no trust badges in the trust badge module. I got some elsewhere (as you can see, I really wanted this plugin to work) and in the meantime, athemes sent an email with links to their trust badges. The links were empty!
At that point I had to laugh and give the devil his due. When you repeatedly fail – in completely controllable ways – with a module that’s designed to impart a sense of competence, you’re exuding a rarified level of incompetence most only see in their nightmares. I’m still laughing about it days later as I write this review.
Thanks athemes for combining George Orwell (I’m thinking of Keep the Aspidistra Flying) and Monty Python in a way that made this awful experience worth something. That’s why I’m doing this review; no one would believe me if I told them in casual conversation:
Me: Yeah, the trust badges module didn’t work
Friend: Seriously? Come on. Really?
Me: I’m not kidding, they screwed it up two or three times.
Friend: No way. I don’t believe you. I mean, so they screwed it up initially, these things happen. There’s no way they sent you dead links. As part of fixing a module that’s designed to prove competence or trustworthiness? No one does that!
Me: I knew you wouldn’t believe me. Go look at my review.
Contemporaneous notes are given a little more weight.

This plugin actually prevents sales on the website.
Plugin full of bugs and very poor quality. Do not touch unless you want to have a headache! Spent countless hours setting it all up only to find out that you will ended up working for developer providing crucial debugging info. Makes you wonder if someone actually test this before making it public, as it’s hard to believe that many bugs exist within the plugin.

I love this plugin. Using Pro version. It has 98% of all my modern e-shop needs! And they constantly adding new features! I reccomended this plugin 110%.

My honest impression is that the app overdelivers. There’s more in it than I realised, and the coding seems strong. I’ve been caught by poorly coded apps that slow my website down, so this is a real priority for me.

I have the pro version of Merchant, and it is worth every penny. It combines the features that you would normally need multiple plugins for into one convenient plugin that’s easy to use. If you want to save money by using WooCommerce, but you want all the functionality offered in Shopify, grab this plugin.
