Hi, your plugin looks exactly what we’re needing. Does it also has a import function to get my old gigs from csv? We have around 400 gigs with date, title, location and link. It should be awesome if we can import them at once.
Hi Matthew,
Hope you doing well & if you remember me(A Japanese developer who sent a securiy patch suggestion in 2021).
Today I want to let you know about a cool feature(for me at least..) I developed to output standard iCalendar format with this plugin that allows visitors can add a gig calendar provided this plugin into their own calendar apps(such as iCalendar,Google Calendar, etc).
I also want to hear about if it is a nice feature or not for other users..so I just try to share it through this forum.
You can find working example here(sorry this page is in Japanese basically, please check the iCalendar link below:
https://junsatsuma.com/live-schedule/
And here are some images working with some calendar apps:
The actual change I made is here
https://github.com/egmc/mf-gig-calendar/pull/4/files
I know you want to keep your plugin simple as much as you can.Though if you are interested in this feature, I think there are several options to provide it for users(as another plugin, or merge it into this plugin) so please let me know how you think about it.
Thanks.
Has MF Gig Calendar been abandoned? The last update was over 7 months ago, and WP says it’s not tested with the latest version.
This critical vulnerability is being reported, how do we deal with it? When will the plugin be updated, if ever?
Thanks for any help.

Hello,
First time writing. I’ve never had a problem with your plugin before. Recently it stopped working (on my website and in we-admin), as I was using a very old version of WordPress. I upgraded to 5.7 and now the plugin works on my site. But when I access any of the plugin settings in which-admin I get the following:
“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
None of the menus work (MF Gig Calendar, Settings, Documentation)
Have you encountered this problem before? Thanks.
Hi – When we click the “delete” button to remove an event, it opens up a different plugin’s interface (the gallery plugin PhotoBlocks), and nothing gets deleted. It seems like the two plugins are conflicting, but I’m not sure how to solve it without disabling one plugin or the other. Has anyone had this issue before or have anything I can try? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi there,
First off, as a musician, thank you for making this plug-in as it’s my go-to for most websites I make (I focus on musicians) and they need a calendar.
I manage an orchestra website and the board notified me of the date difference – dates were off by one day. I looked into the plugin and they are, indeed off.
E.g. the concerts are on Mar 28 and 29. I’ve selected those dates in the event, but on the calendar page, it showed up one day off (27 and 28th)
I’ve had to adjust the dates by one day for it to show up correctly as it is on the live site now – i.e. the event dates in the plugin are selected as Mar 29-30 for it to show up as Mar. 28-29 even on the “Upcoming Events” area in the plugin dashboard (example).
Thank you!
I’ve been using MF Gig Calendar on several musicians’ sites and love it – I’ve tried a bunch of calendars and this one is so streamlined! But tonight for some reason I’m not able to delete an event – the “delete” button is there, but when I click it, it opens up a different plugin’s interface (a gallery plugin, no relation to the calendar that I can see), and nothing gets deleted. Is there a way to manually remove one event? I couldn’t figure out where they were stored, but I’m comfortable poking around via FTP if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks!
Hi. There appears to be a bug with Leap Year. I have to set the Saturday events to a Sunday date to get the Saturday date to work…

Hi,
We’ve been using your plugin on this (old) site for some time. A replacement is being developed based on a clone (new.url). Predictably the events created since the time of the cloning process are missing from the new site. Are we going to need to manually recreate them on the new site or is there a way we can accomplish this all at once?
Thanks
Hi I just found your plugin and it seems to work well for our needs.
We would like to remove the “Upcoming|Archive line”. I did not see an option in the settings for this. Can this be done?
Thanks and happy holidays.
Hey there,
recently I have an error in displaying the date. All days are correct in my database, but wrong while created for any display (front-/backend).
As a quick workaround I replaced line 227 and 237
$mfgigcal_date .= “
” . date_i18n(“d”, $start_date) . “
”;
with
$mfgigcal_date .= “
” . $startArray[2] . “
”;
Same in line 244 but there with $endArray
$mfgigcal_date .= “
” . $endArray[2] . “
”;
As a quick workaround that works for me, however, it would be great if someone has an idea what’s wrong/not working on that spot.
Cheers
Clemens
Hi! This is a cool plugin! I have a small question, I installed my wordpress in Spanish, but I need the callendar in English; Is there a way to install some mo.po file in English? because in the download there is mo.po in Spanish, German, French, but not in English.
Thanks!
Hi Matthew,
I’d like to export all my shows – past and present – to put in a new theme (Audiotheme). Is this possible or do I have to add each gig for the past four years manually?
thanks for your help and for creating this great plugin.
Nancy
Is it possible to display upcoming shows in ascending order and the archive in descending order?
Thanks for your help!

Is there a way to display via location?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Time to move on to alternative?
Or will the developer update it?
Does anyone know if its still supported?
Hi,
First off, Great job on the plugin!
Id like to know how to change the appearance of the date in MF Calendar independent of the Event text and “upcoming, archive” etc.
I can change the appearance of all but not singularly.
Something like the following website is what I’m after
Djcharlievillas.com
Can anyone point me in the direction of some CSS code that would allow me to do this? Thanks very much!
Ronan
In my sidebar there’s no space between the first and second events. It hasn’t always been that way. Any way to fix this? It doesn’t look very nice.
Hasn’t been updated in a year… just wondering if it’s being kept up. I know lot of people would be happy to donate even $5 to show their appreciation – or they should if they enjoy using it.
Hi – I really like the plugin – thanks! We usually link the Location field to the venue’s website, and we’d like these links to always open in a new tab. Is there any way to force this? We’ve been manually setting the new tab option when we create the link, which I think might be the only way, but I thought I’d ask and see if anyone had a better solution. I’m reasonably comfortable editing PHP code if I know where to look, but didn’t see anything obvious.

Hi, The archive by year layout is not beneficial to my site. I’d love it if I could have a simple display of upcoming shows (without the archive years underneath) and then another section that will show all past shows. Is this possible?
THANKS!!

I love GigCalendar, have been using it a few years now. Does anyone know an easy way to add a link to each event that would (easily) allow a viewer to Share the event to their Facebook page? I’ve tried a few plugins, but haven’t found anything that puts the “share” option right in the event post.
I’ve also tried using the Facebook href link ( href=”https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https://thetaters.com/calendar/?event_id=112″ ) and it techically ‘works’, but it posts on the users’ Facebook page what looks like a link just to my main calendar page (not the event posting itself). It also uses the first image on my WP Home page when it initially offers to share the post, and – on the users’ Facebook page – it includes the graphic from the very first item in my calendar – [mfgigcal id=1]- which is years old now, instead of the link to the event I’m trying to share. It’s only after someone clicks the link on the Facebook page that a person would ever see or know the actual event being linked to.
Hope that makes sense?
Hello,
Is there a way to make this plugin automatically archive past events and only show upcoming?
Thank you.

I am trying to use the following combination on my front page, I am looking for a simple summary of dates, limiting to whatever I choose, but, do not want to see details. I cannot seem to get this to work, Help!
This is what I tried to use:
