I have had to migrate a number of sites today and was looking for a faster and less flaky solution to those I have used in the past where I have had sporadic failures. I fell over Migrate Guru by chance and thought I would give it a try. So glad I did. The migrations easy to set up – just one copy and paste -were uneventful and quick. I can’t believe it’s free. Glad it is, though!

This plugin isn’t intuitive, I’ve lost months of work, just because the plugin put the new site into the old, and corrupts the login. The plugin doesn’t have an undo button, neither.

In 15+ years of WP experience by FAR the easiest AND FASTEST way to migrate a site.
New subdomain? No problem, you don’t even have to mention it. I honestly have no idea how it works, you don’t even have to enter FTP credentials or anything. Install on both ends, copy the migration code and watch the magic happening. Hats off to the devs!

copied whole site.
But after 1 hour of work I found out that this shit didn’t event copy elementor child theme!!!!
I wonder if I shall scratch all, and migrate using different tool or just copy manually child theme and hope it didn’t do other fuck ups…

Honestly I came to review it simply because it was that good. I wanted to move a site from one domain to another but was having a hard time with it. This plugin allowed me to do it by having the plugin on both sites and cloning everything, it also took care of the configuration.

After having a lot of difficulty with my web hosts trying to find help on how to migrate a website and finding nothing but vague answers and a lot of timed wasted, not to mention the difficulty in getting in touch with them, I found this plugin and it saved the day.
I’m yet to test that everything has migrated properly, however, what I’ve seen so far, has impressed me immensely.
