While it seemed like this plugin was going to be the one for me, as I started learning the ropes I discovered, (full disclosure, my photo gallery developers discovered) That there was some Javascript errors in this plugin hindering my photo gallery from functioning properly, functioning at all in some cases, and just disabling lightbox functionality in mobile devices.
Going to submit this information to the people here as well, and hope to give it a try again in the future.

For now, 1 star.

i use Mingle v0.1.01 (downloaded from www.ads-software.com) with WordPress v4.6.1 and twenty twelve theme.
i have problem:

1. vertical scrol
2. horizontal black line!

how i do fix it?

This plugin feels cheap to me. It’s a buggy attempt at mimicking Buddy Press.

I created a few test profiles to check if im able to chat with the other profiles. turns out i’t completely impossible for me to find the other profiles! The main search bar only shows some of the posts i put on the site.
Any suggestions? thanks

Can’t get it to activate, produces fatal errors on WP 3.7.1. at each attempt.

After spending hours trying to customise a profile page in Buddypress – I wanted to include a list of favourites from WP Favorite Posts for each user – I gave up and tried using WP Mingle as my ‘social’ plugin.

Within 20 minutes I had added a new ‘favourites’ tab in the profile page and added a favourite youtube video playlist. See https://ypraise.com/ypraise/ for example.

I haven’t had chance to really play with this plugin yet but it looks really good.

It may not receive much support but it seems to work perfectly with a child theme of 2012 and it hasn’t yet had a conflict with any other plugin.

Well done to the developers.

Why on earth have plugins stay around and rot in the Repository?
This plugin had such great potential. Then it seems to have died. Now it is rotten.

Same!!!Same!!!Same!!!Mingle looks great so far. The 5 minute Mingle setup (search for it online) is good. Only problem is that I am the admin and it put me in the list of invisible users…can’t friend people, etc…and the settings page will not allow me to remove myself from the users who will be invisible! How do I get myself out of that list? I can select myself in the invisible user list, but not delete my user name from there. HELP!!!

This seems to a general problem with every body, I can’t find the solution ?? Baaaaaaaaahhhaaaaaa I am exhausted

Forum isn’t good. Avoid Mingle forum.
Social plugin is wonderful, but depends on obsolete php 5.0.x
Either downgrade to unsupported php 5.0.x or see my hack in the support forum.
Absolutely NOT plug-n-play.

Lots of things missing. Simple forum but it has several problem issues and there are a lot of features missing that you would want in a forum.

Excellent plugin and fills somewhat of a niche. Provided a quick and simple social function element to the site in a few minutes. I tried various ‘commercial’ type options but this was by far the best. Integrated perfectly with my existing theme. Thanks again.

I wish I could give it ZERO stars for now… I just loaded Mingle on a test install and immediately told me I did not have permission to access the page that normally says plugin installed. From then on I was unable to login to any account until I went in and deleted the mingle folder… I won’t both trying to load it again as either there is a serious bug with WP3.5 and Buddypress or it is a trojan… Let me know if you find out otherwise.

How does one get to see the forum?
That simple question is a total mystery…
The manual is badly written.

It might all be designed nicely, but if one has to go dig deep in tutorials to get an idea of how to actually publish a forum, it’s all pretty much wasted energy.
