Why it’s keep adding <span id=”mce_marker” data-mce-type=”bookmark” data-mce-fragment=”1″>??</span> in the code

Overall, an excellent syntax highlighter. I’m a PowerShell scripter, and Mivhak does a decent job of recognizing PowerShell syntax. Not perfect, but probably 90%. A few obvious annoyances — it only recognizes mixed case cmdlets — so, Get-Command is recognized, but get-command is not. That’s one that needs fixing. It also seems to break down a bit with multi-line commands and some of the newer syntax.
On the huge plus side, however, by setting the default language to PowerShell, it immediately recognized the existing code on my site that had been coded PRE and had used a previous pair of plugins that had to be abandoned because of security issues. This was a massive time saver.
I’d like to see the ability to easily update the syntax engine, or contribute to that, and I’d like to see the ability to tweak existing themes and/or create new ones.

Thanks for creating this masterpiece.

It works perfect and compatible with others. Migration from other highlighter is not problem.

I’ve tried multiple highlighters and this is the most versatile easy to use one I’ve found yet. Thank You

Tried different syntax highliters, but this one has got some different decent themes available and supports more then a hundred programming languages, so it is great to suit my needs.
I just wish in next updates more themes will come! ??

In the visual editor, insert code button is not displaying.

I would pay for this!

I have wasted too much time on other syntax highlighter. This one works straight out of the box. Simple to use and looks good.
And its fast and reacts to code tags on existing posts.
Only thing I miss is the option to include the code button on the frontpage in TinyMCE. It only shows in the admin.
And I do not usually write reviews. But this plugin is worth all five stars.`

Works great, keeps things simple and enables me to keep the text tab hidden from curious clients

It has the best design of all syntax extensions and it just do what it suppose to do.

I have tried some similar plugins and this one is the best. It just works great without the bugs of the other plugins.

Hi All,
I rarely write reviews for wordpress plugin. I am writing it because, I was struggling to get a nice syntax highlight plugin for my website.
I earlier tried other plugins, but, they were heavy or they were using special shortcode (which I really hated).
This plugin work on pre or code tags.
I wanna appreciate developers work.

Why it dose’t work for PHP code? Only display the white code! no color!

I use to use Crayon Syntax Highlighter for some time, but then an update caused some unintended consequences with the theme I use. Support was lacking, and so I was forced to uninstall it. This was some months ago, and since then I have tried 10+ similar plugins. All of which have failed in one way or another, so I was EXTREMELY HAPPY to find that this plugin does the job superbly.
What I like:
What I dislike:
The plugin handles all the major languages except for VB, or VB.NET (or equivalent). Even if you accept that VBScript should be close enough to VB for most intended purposes, the plugin will then still incorrectly display “VBScript” as the language in your code blocks. You can turn the meta bar off, but then you will loose the COPY option for your users. However, there is a configuration file in the top of the plugin directory which you can tweak to instead display “Visual Basic”. This is a minor annoyance, because every update to the plugin will require me to make this change :/
Overall:
The plugin is the best alternative I have found to the Crayon Syntax Highlighter that I was using before. I am quite happy with it. Thanks! ??

This plugin is perfect. It is simple and easy to use: all I need to format code snippets. Thanks.

Very lightweight and the best looking syntax highlighter I’ve seen. Displays clean and easy to read code, several nice themes. It’s not overloaded with options. The author is also very quick to answer questions.
I’m really impressed with this plugin
