Is there any special that I need to do to use the modal on a custom post type? I get it to work just fine if I link it to a permalink from a custom post type it throws an error that says “Modal Links plugin works for posts and pages only”

I’ve installed, activated and set up the plugin on my new WorpdPress install, but I cannot find what is mentionned at the bottom of the settings page:
– Modal Links Shortcode GUI plugin
– Modal Links Auto Open plugin
– Modal Links Menu Item plugin
– Modal Links Category Carousel plugin
You say “You can get it here” but all the links are the same and lead to the plugin page https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/modal-links/.
And do none of the settings that you show in the screen captures are available in my install…
One more thing: your demo page is a 404 error…
Could ypu please explain?

First can I say that I love your plugin. I use it for a help/support website and its been great to be able to link to an article/post from within another without having loads of popups open.
I do however have a few issues that I hope can easily be resolved.
First is that I often need to link to a particular point within a post using an anchor point. If I were to add
<a name="halfwaydownthepage"></a>
in the page being called then ( I think I am using the correct syntax) in the document that is calling this page
<a href="?id=123#halfwaydownthepage" target="_modal">click here</a> but it takes me to the right page in the modal but does not scroll to the anchor.
Am I doing something wrong or is this an unsupported feature and if so could it be added please?
The second is not so important and may well be too confusing anyway but is there a way to have nested modals, or stacked modals. So if you click a modal link that resided within a modal it would show a second modal and not load in the current one.
Anyway, keep up the good work.

I installed your plugin for the modal, and its only partially working. It does pop the modal up upon clicking the link, but nothing is displayed in it? I have created both a post and a page and used their ID’s in the modal link, but it doesn’t come up. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve also tried putting the permalink in place of the #. I can’t get anything to show up.
I’m using shortcodes in my page, but they don’t show in the modal. The shortcodes are generated using the plugin “Shortcode Exec PHP”.

]]>When modal opens, “spokes” of color I chose appear very briefly, then disappear, and modal opens as though I had chosen “off” for this option.
I tried deactivating all my other plugins, but that does not fix it.
I have no site you can link to yet – still developing this on my own computer using XAMPP.

The plugin really works well. I am working on a 1 page website and when the modal window pops up, I’d like to “freeze” the scroll of the page under it.
is it possible to keep the modal window showing even when scrolling or maybe to disable the scroll?

I read about this plugin a day or two ago here on the repository and decided to install it today.
When I originally read the various tabs, there was a lot of information available. Now, all tabs except for a couple have the same line:
“With this plugin you can create a “modal” link to open post/page and even login/logout and register form in modal window.”
I wonder if the information all got wiped out in an update? Note that I tried two different browsers and got the same results.
Wayback Machine has only archived some of the pages for the plugin on one date, and it’s pretty clear that information (i.e. exact implementation of the shortcode) is out of date.

register: never loads the popup
login: when first loads it appears on center while loading
while loading an ok button is displayed
i use on settings a custom class but this feature doesn’t work (because it adds the class .classname instead classname)
data-title is not the title of the popup.

I just downloaded Modal Links and set a window to open from clicking an image in certain page. I’m using the shortcode:

The link seems right, that is, when you mouse over the image it shows the right path to open, and indeed it opens if I type it manually in a new window, but it won’t open as modal… No matter what I do, I always get this error: https://www.ufrgs.br/intervires/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/modal-error.jpg.
Any ideas on what may be going on?

I’m trying to find where to change the top position of the window. It seems to position at the middle of the window. I would prefer it to be located close to the top. So to have something like top:50px;
It seems that the top position is calculated in relation of the clicked link.
Is it possible to change it somewhere?

The only difference I can see after trying several things, is that the site that is not working has version 1.3.5 and the site that is working has version 1.3.0.
Might this be the issue? Or something else.

I find your plugin very useful, I love the way it operates as opposed to others I have tried.
The issue I am having is that Modal Links doesn’t play nice with Gravity Forms.
If I display the form as a page on its own I see the form shows as needed, but if I view it through clicking a link I get all the hidden stuff such as admin labels, form field id #s and so on… This kinda stinks because your plugin seems to be the one that fits needs for this project. Respond and Ill send links and a screen shot.
I’m found of clean plugins.
