These are great ideas and I’m going to try to implement them in the next release.
]]>So WordPress now handles this nicely. And there’s no reason to replace it’s default functionality. However, this plugin could extend what WP already does. The current WP favicon (or site branding) feature could be the default. Then this plugin could give us options to override it in certain places. For example, it might allow us to set an alternative for the admin (as it already does). It would be really helpful if it added an option on pages and posts, so we could set a favicon per-page or per-post.
However, it should do all this with a similar interface to WP core functionality, where we only need to upload one 512×512 image and the plugin takes care of the rest. That’s how I could see this plugin being useful and valuable again.
]]>I don’t see anything listed in the Changelog or the readme.txt file. Can you tell me what’s been updated in the latest version of the Multicons plugin?
Thank you,
JP
I noticed that my favicon was not showing correctly and found that it is the plugin which has swapped it for another. I don’t know what I can do to use the plugin and have my own favicon display.
]]>Sorry guys, the latest update broke Multicons on my website. I’m getting this error splashed across the top of my front page.
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘multicons_init’ not found or invalid function name in /storage/content/70/109970/gbg365.thesupercargo.com/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 503
Deactivating until there is a revision.
]]>It is bad to provide direct URLs to favicons in settings. I would love this plugin if it gets modern upload WP fields.

]]>Hi,
I am running the plugin but still get errors for missing files in my logs like:
/img?/h?/apple-touch-icon.png
?/img?/m?/apple-touch-icon.png
Etc.
Amy I missing something?
Thanks

I noticed there’s a message on the support forum from a year ago with the same error.
]]>Hi,
Would it be possible to make the choice between a normal touch icon or a precomposed one? The normal one gets rendered on Apple devices with a glow. A precomposed one doesn’t.
More info about this can be found here:
Thanks!
]]>This is a GREAT plugin and I use it often. I thought I would also share with some resources where you can get the icon pics generated at. These are the two that I like the most.
Website & Dashboard Favicon Generator:
Dynamic Drive (tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon)
Apple Touch Icon Generator:
Pic2Icon (pic2icon.com/site_icon_for_iphone_ipad_generator.php)
