]]>I wonder if you can help – there are two ‘My Category Order’ widgets on this site Hebden Bridge Arts Festival and even though they’re each set up to show ‘child of’ different categories, they’re both showing the same. This is a new error – they’ve been working fine for several months. Any ideas, please?

This plugin loses CSS formating. See the image in the other threads as it’s exactly the same. Setup is also the same, tested on TwentyFourteen to make sure it wasn’t a theme issue.

When adding a new post, if I add a new category, the new category doesn’t show up in the ‘My Category Order’ list.

It seems to be working– however, the categories don’t look like the rest of the theme– which would have a bullet in front of the category and slightly indented.

I installed the plugin My Category Order and it worked fine changing the order of my cat’s in the admin area. But when I’m finished with the changes and look the website up, I see that the changes are not shown (its still in alphabetical order).
Of course I googled the whole thing and the only thing I found out is that I have to do something with a code line (I guess <?php wp_list_categories(‘orderby=order’); ?> ) or something with the widgets (and in the widgets page one cannot change anything, there is only a drag and drop possibility without any clue to the My Category Plugin..).
Can anyone help me out please?
We are using the Theme WP-MAGAZINE (I contacted the theme creators but didn’t receive any response yet).

]]>Hi! I have a website that I’m about to launch. We have four parent categories with 8 or so subcategories each.
I’m using My Category Order to reorder them from an alphabetical listing to a listing per the client’s preference.
Fortunately, the plugin is successfully reordering the categories in the sidebar.
Unfortunately, it’s not working in the post meta data. It’s saying:
Posted In: subcategory // subcategory // subcategory // PARENT CATEGORY // subcategory // subcategory
I was hoping you could let me know what code to add/change to get My Category Order to apply to this section so instead it’s displayed the way it’s arranged in your plugin settings.

]]>The “Exclude Tree” option in the My Category Order widget simply doesn’t do anything. If I put the ID of any category in that box (with no other include/exclude options set) – it makes no difference to the output. I tried it as a comma-separated list, a single integer, a string of values.. no result.
The other options (include, exclude, child of) seem to work as expected.

]]>My category order plug in is not working, I can drag and drop categories and subcategories to the desired spot, but changes are not saved. In previous comments in this forum say that if I am not using widgets I need to edit the wp_list_categories('orderby=order&title_li=');, but where do I find the wp_list_categories? I have found the plug in editor on my dashboard and also, sidebar.php and _sidebar.php and I still cannot find that line that I need to edit. Do I need to find it in myphpadmin database in my host? Can someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I added the plugin to a multisite wordpress install running two sites.
On th main site it works perfectly. On the subsite it shows nothing.
The get_categories function comes back empty.
When I enter to de admin menu to Order categories, it just says “No terms found”
I can confirm terms are indeed present and populated with content.
