I can’t update my progress or add new books because the admin page won’t load. I’ve contacted support and never got a reply. I see from the forum that people rarely had their problems solved either!
]]>When I tried updating the books to be included in my sidebar widget, I couldn’t. I couldn’t even re-add the widget with any selected books after I tried removing it.
]]>I can’t seem to add separate cover images for different books of mine. Is that a glitch or is not allowed?
]]>I go to the MyBookProgress dashboard, and it won’t load my word count history and lists my current words as 0. On my phone, it does, but then when I try to update it, it forces it to be the final goal. Please fix this!
]]>On the Dashboard, this plugin notes that it needs to be updated to version 1.0.5. However, after updating, this plugin continues to appear in the Dashboard as needing to be updated to version 1.0.5. Behavior has been ongoing for several days.
]]>Is development dead? It’s been a year since there’s been an update, and more than half a year since the developer has responded to any forum topics.
]]>I know that someone already made a post about this a while ago. That was solved by ticking the box. I’ve done that and it still won’t appear on the book page while it does on my sidebar (which is where I definitely need it to be, so at least that’s working).
Is there anyway to fix this?
I also cannot add MyBookProgress shortcode to my blog posts anymore? I can’t seem to find a custom shortcode spot within Gutenberg blocks and it’s not included in their Shortcode block. What do I do?
]]>I completed Revenge of the Killer Flamingos.
Is there a way I can archive it or download the stats as a record?
I love this app! Thank you so much!
]]>Is there really no option to display word count in the widget? Seems like a strange omission. The only way I can find to tell word count is the share on twitter option. I can’t have that capability on my own site, but I have the ability to share it on another site? Very odd.
Showing percentages to me seems like a poor way to display progress when I’m dealing with projects of different lengths. Ten percent on a project might seem pretty significant, but if it’s only a ten-thousand word project that means I wrote a thousand words. If I were to write the same number of words on say a hundred thousand word project then progress would only be one percent.
]]>1. I purchase the Pro version and received my receipt with the license key. I copy/pasted it into the appropriate place (box that says License Key) but it keeps telling me the key in invalid.
2. I tried to integrate my Mailing Chimp list and I entered the API but the little wheel has been spinning for days now with no progress.
3. Finding support for this plug-in has been difficult. Even here I see most questions are unanswered.
I hope you can help me.
]]>Is there a way to make the book image and title act as a link? When someone sees the book in progress, they want to find out more, but currently the only thing they can do is sign up to a mailing list.
Second question: is there a way to adjust the size of the book image? It’s a bit small right now for my purposes.
Thanks in advance!
]]>Hi,
Is there any way to use his plugin without the user being at admin level?
Cheers
Phil
I installed and activated the free version in WordPress 4.7.5 running Virtue – Premium theme. No instructions appeared. Having no idea where to go from there, I clicked on Settings. I got a tab for MyBookProgress, with a blank screen and an endlessly spinning wheel.
I deactivated and tried again. No luck. I am now going to deactivate it once more, and probably remove it, pending some indication that I’m missing something that will make it work.
]]>This plugin is awesome! Would love to see an option for multiple books as we authors frequently work on multiple works. Any plans for this in the future? Again, awesome! Can’t wait to really try it out and come back to leave a review.
]]>I added the MyBookProgress plugin today and ran a speed test on my website and got 61. It said the style and front end java script severely slowed my site down.
Any advice?

]]>I downloaded and installed this plugin just this evening. When I first set up MyBookProgress, the progress bar was showing up in MyBookTable under the page for the book I wanted. When I went back a few minutes later however it had completely disappeared.
Clicking on the “information” icon on the widget still takes me to my book on MyBookTable but there is no longer a progress bar showing.
I haven’t updated/uploaded any other plugins. I know I’m using a version of wordpress that hasn’t been checked with the current version of this plugin but I wouldn’t have expected the progress bar to have shown up initially at all if it was a version problem?
Many thanks,
Carmen-Shea
I was able to set up and everything was working well. I updated my initial word count, but when I went back to update again, the progress tab is blank white. The only plugins I’ve added since my last update were the paid version of MyBookTable. I’d like to keep using this, but as of right now, it’s completely unusable.
]]>When I updated to 0.8.4 all the phases defaulted to text like this – {{= this.model.get(‘name’) ? this.model.get(‘name’) : ‘(no name)’ }}
I can change this (to, say ‘Editing’) but though it corrects on the website, it never stays corrected in the setup page.
Also, in both this version and the previous version (which I will be reinstalling on my site ASAP!) I cannot change the number of pages (it never sticks e.g. it says 200, I change it to 350, save it, and it’s back to 200) and the Due Dates don’t save either.
]]>On: mybookprogress/includes/functions.php I found;
mbt_track_event(‘plugin_activated’, true);
I’m not sure, but shouldn’t there be a colon instead of a comma before the “true”?
]]>Fatal error: Call to undefined function mbt_track_event() in /home/akellogg/public_html/mythus/wp-content/plugins/mybookprogress/includes/functions.php on line 1164
Don’t functions need to be defined?
]]>Fatal error: Call to undefined function mbt_track_event() in /home/akellogg/public_html/mythus/wp-content/plugins/mybookprogress/includes/functions.php on line 1164
That’s the message I got.
