]]>I’ve successfully used Navayan Subscribe on a public WordPress installation. However the current blog I want to use it on requires users to login to see anything. I’d like to allow these authorised users to then subscribe to receive email notifications of new posts, but having logged in, Navayan Subscribe only displays the “You’re logged in” message and doesn’t allow them to sign up for emails. It seems they can only sign up if they’re logged out – except then (because our site is restricted) they don’t have access to the subscribe page/widget.
Does anyone know if there’s a way around this using Navayan or other plugin?

I use Bloom plugin (from Eleganth Themes) to show subscribe at bottom right position in my site. But this plugins works with Mailchimp, Aweber and has an option to include my own html.
I already use Navayan and so I would like to use its own code for that, but how can I have this widget code ? It has to consider when customer is logged or unlogged, identical to what the widger already does…
I tried Navayan Subscribe 1.13 and it worked the first time around I think, but now when I actually have users, it is not sending out emails when I create a new post. When I do subscribe, the emails go out to the user and to the admin just fine. But New Post emails even with the checkmark are not going.

]]>I’ve just verified that there is a bug somewhere relating to saving the options related to the settings tab.
Try this to verify:
1 – Bring up a view of the options table in your mysql interface of choice.
2 – search for this option_name: “ny_subscribe_theme_css”
3 – Keep that window open and watch the option_value.
4 – Now bring up the settings tab under Navayan Subscribe
5 – Uncheck the “Use active theme CSS for email templates” box and save settings.
6 – Refresh your view in your mysql interface and see that the option_value is now 0.
7 – Now click any other link in the wordpress admin panel (left sidebar) – “Posts”, for example.
8 – Now click back to the Navayan Subscribe link under Tools.
9 – Look over in your mysql interface and refresh your query and notice that the option_value is now 1 – WITHOUT YOU HAVING CHANGED THE CHECKBOX.
10 – Now click on the settings tab and scroll down and notice that the “Use active theme CSS for email templates” checkbox is now checked, even though you did not check it again.
Hi.
I want anyone to be able to subscribe to updates to my sites – users and none-users.
By their own choice.
The thing is, when I add a new user, they are automatically subscribed to the email service, which could work if they could unsubscribe later. But if they unsubscribe, they are also deleted as a user on the site, with no access to private content, posting comments and forum topics.
As it is now, all my registered users are obliged to receive emails if they want to stay active on the site. Which is quite annoying for some.
I love this plugin, and it really should work as a helpful service – not painful spamming.
Does anyone know how seperate the subscription to the mailservice from the subscription to the site?

I schedule posts for the coming few weeks and would like to notify users when each new post appears on the website.
However the email is sent when I click the “schedule” button – rather than waiting until the date in the future when the post is scheduled to appear.
We would like the email notification and posting to happen at the same time (at the scheduled time). Is there any way of doing this?
I’m running Navayan Subscribe v1.13.

Every time I change the email template the CSS box keeps rechecking itself on the settings page. I wondered what on earth was happening until I sussed it. Any chance of changing it in the programming so that when you change the template it does not recheck the CSS option?

Also the featured image in a page is not a thumbnail in email sent to subscriber but full image is sent. I was under the impression that user will only receive the thumbnail.

I’d very much like to have a checkbox in user profile “Send me your Newsletter” (for registered users). Checkbox might also be useful in registration from or in a woocommerce-cart. Is there any chance, to get it?
I use UserMetaPro-Plugin and (hope to) get some data from fields from other plugins.
However, in table “wp_usermeta” I can only find an field for the custom field, but no other field. If there were a field in this or any other table which stores information, which user is a newsletter-subscriber, I might have had a chance to get this data into the user profile and furthermore might be able to subscribe or unsubscribe by checking this field. See what I mean? However, I did not find any ny-specific field except the custom field (which is empty in my table). Any idea?

]]>I like the flexibility of this plugin for subscription and email notification over JetPack, but important features are not working. Users cannot successfully subscribe or unsubscribe themselves. I have to manually change each subscribing user’s role in the Dashboard from “none” to “subscriber” before they get emails. And when users confirm unsubscription, they still appear in the list of users in the Dashboard and they still get emails. If I manually delete the user in the Dashboard, that works. The role changes / deletion of unsubscribers should be automatic — this will be a maintenance nightmare if it’s all manual.
I saw in the post titled “Broken Email Management” from 2 months ago that the role management issue was resolved in version 1.12. I’m using that version and it’s still not working. Hoping for a solution soon!

]]>Hello. Thank you for your great plug-in – however, we have two outstanding issues that need to rectified. Any input would be appreciated.
1. E-mails to subscribers are being sent out in one long stream with
no line breaks. There are no line breaks, paragraph breaks, bullet/numbering breaks, etc. Subscribers are reporting e-mails are too difficult to read without proper formatting.
2. This was mentioned in a earlier post: Unsubscribe does not seem to work. The users follow the unsubscribe procedure, but when the process is almost complete they experience no text displayed on the Unsubscribe Confirmation Page; the user is not ‘unsubscribed’ (or deleted from the Users list) and still receives e-mails. This is a critical function of the subscribe plugin that needs to work correctly for us.
Any insight into solving these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

]]>If a user signs up, but then loses the confirmation email, how can he get a new confirmation email sent? If an unconfirmed user reenters the email into the widget, it seems he just gets an error stating the email address is already registered.

]]>The plugin is sending an email to the subscribers when the post is scheduled instead of when it is posted. I though it was supposed to send it when its scheduled. I checked the code and I think thats what its supposed to do. When the user clicks on the link they receive the 404 error page since the post doesnt exists yet…

]]>I install the Subscribe Plugin into WordPress and it shows up fine in the Sidebar, looks great and when I enter a Name and Email it tells me it is processing and then proceeds a message that a confirmation email will be sent out. I never receive any of these emails – I tried several different email accounts with no luck. It does add me as a “Subscriber” in WP which is great but I would like them to get an email confirmation and updates as well. This probably has been asked before…any help or ideas is appreciated.
