As of a few weeks ago, our auto-posts to Twitter/X using Nelio Content are no longer creating an “article” link previewed in the tweet and are merely posting the featured image, plus the text (see here for example). The permalink is still in the post but is not automatically generating an article as it would if we just posted directly on X.

Been using this plugin for 2 months flawlessly. Noticed yesterday that when we click on Calendar (which should currently be displaying dozens of scheduled posts and dozens of draft posts), it is completely blank. No new plugins installed recently/no conflicts. Only change was installation to the latest 6.7 version of WordPress. Help!

I’m not sure what has changed, but every time a new post is created the social posts that I have manually created (I’m on the free plugin), don’t post on the respective platforms. I’ve checked the settings and can’t work out what is going wrong?
The red box appears and states: “Error! This message was not published because publication was paused on your site at the moment.”

Hi, couldn’t find your plugin in Github, so I’ll suggest a small compatibility fix here.

Please change current_user_can() call in admin/views/nelio-content-overview-widget.php row 188 to use post ID instead of WP_Post object.

Without this fix the plugin is not fully compatible with eg. Polylang, which filters capabilities and expects param to be an ID instead of WP_Post.

Your code works, but it’s not “correct” as per WordPress current_user_can() documentation. See the examples and paramater documentation, which are using/suggesting of using ID.

I refreshed the token and reconnected via Pinterest, deleted, put back and made the necessary settings and even via Buffer, nothing works.
The view in the calendar of this share is crossed out!
I have 2 other accounts Facebook and X which work well.

Since the last update it seems the postings on Reddit aren’t working anymore. Account is available, not blocked or anything and I myself can post, but the auto post feature for Reddit seems to be broken. However, Nelio does not show it. Maybe someone can look into it?

Hello, I have a problem with the open graph.org tags that are duplicated in the source code with your plugin enabled and Yoast seo that also generates these same tags.
Which is a problem. When I disable Nelio Content, the duplicate tags disappear!

It seems a great plugin, but for me, it has a huge handicap: it uses Plugin extremely high number of hosting resources (processes) of my hosting server, therefore producing 500 and 503 errors. I have a business hosting plan, with hgh number of available resources, but it seems that is not enough, so the plugin unfortunately is not suitable for my website.

That’s my experience. However, is there any chance to reduce this amount of needed resources?

Hi everyone, I have installed Nelio Content and configured it to post my blog articles on my Face Book page, on Linkedin and on Google My Business.
I don’t think I did anything wrong but in none of the 3 are articles from my site automatically posted.

I’ve been using Nelio Content (Free) for a while and didn’t notice the problem on the calendar before. My blog is set to New York timezone but I live in the Pacific timezone (NY – 3). When viewing the calendar, posts schedule for 12:15am for example, appear at the bottom of the previous day’s list.

At the bottom of the 24th you can see the 12:31 am post for the 25th, and on the 25th, you can see the 12:08am post for the 26th. It makes it very hard to really know how many posts are scheduled for any specific day.

When calling the editorial calendar the month of May 2023 is always loaded in the start view, regardless of the current date. Can that be changed somewhere?

Dear Nelio Dev Team,

yesterday we did an update to from a much older version (early 2022) to your latest version. Because of the update we had to reconnect all the social media accounts to resolve the red exclamation mark warning.

Long story short: We can not re-connect our Meta fan page with the current Nelio version.

When we try to connect our “fan page” via Meta (natively) we get an error that we don’t have the rights to integrate the page. Basically we don’t see any of our seven fan pages.

We revoked the business integration several times in order to create a new one during the linking/connecting process, but didn’t work. Still we don’t see any pages in the link process. We tried several combinations to see if it is related to Instagram / groups / pages, but it has no effect always the same issue.

We also used an second admin/owner account which never had any business integration at all. Sill the same issue.

We have seen this support request: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/it-seems-that-there-are-no-associated-pages-to-your-facebook-profile-or-that-you/ which is exactly the same issue.

We also tried to use the buffer integration, but during our testing we ended up in the same issue described in this support request: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/permalinks-are-not-loading-on-facebook/ Articles are going to be posted via Buffer but they don’t have a permalink in it resulting in just a post of the title.

It seems there is an issue with new version when it comes to a reconnect to meta.

BTW: Other integrations like X and LinkedIn working as expected.

I added permalink to Facebook template settings in Nelio Content. However, articles automatically posted to Facebook don’t have permalinks. Meta’s share debugger displays exactly what I set for Open Graph. When previewing on Nelio’s Timeline in the scheduled post article, it appears that images and links are being retrieved. I put screenshot. How can I fix the settings?

When I try to reconnect social media, I get the error in the title. What can I do to resolve this?

We are working on migration on a site that uses Nelio Content Basic. The blog is currently installed as its own WordPress instance on a subdomain. We are migrating the posts and all related content into the separate, existing WordPress install on the main domain.

From the Nelio standpoint, it looks like most of the puzzle will be to replicate the existing Nelio plugin settings on the new site once we’ve migrated the posts.

However, I’m not sure how to handle the calendar. I see that there is a way to export the calendar as a CSV, but I don’t see a way to then re-import the calendar on the new site.

What is the best way to do this? Is there anything else we should be aware of with this type of migration and your plugin?

I am using nelio content to post stuffs from wp to social media.
I also have local setup for the website for testing etc.
The problem is that nelio content is also posting new posts from the local dev too.
I can not deactivate the plugin for some testing purpose.
Is there any way which i can do for local environment so that it can not post something or connect to the outside in any way ?
Is there any filter or constant anything ?

I’m using the filter plugin_action_links to remove the Deactivate/Delete links of all the plugins to avoid deactivating/deleting any by mistake, and using the Bulk actions menu to perform such actions.

But you already use the filter plugin_action_links_{$plugin_file} to control the action links of your plugin, that’s why I keep getting this warning whenever I open the Plugins page:

I tried to change my filter priority to make it run after yours, but it didn’t work.

Could you please add one more condition to your code (line 57 in the same file) to avoid this warning? Something like && isset( $actions['deactivate'] ):

I know there is a ‘custom highlights’ option, but this is only text, no markup or custom images.

I spend a lot of money on a copywriter to create social media posts for my blog. It would be awesome if I could re-use those texts and images in my evergreen automations.

As you may already know, Twitter has recently updated their API and the rules that govern how third-party tools like Nelio Content can use it. This changes may result in temporary access limitations to Twitter. You’ll notice these limitations when Nelio reports a failed message with the “Request failed with code 429.”

We’re looking at all the options available to work out a solution for our Twitter users. Unfortunately, it looks like the only option is to upgrade to more expensive plans, which doesn’t align with our business model’s affordability.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding during this transition period. However, on a positive note, Nelio Content already supports 10 other social networks, including Mastodon (Twitter’s alternative).

At present, I’m using Blog2Social, which allows you to go into it’s settings and choose which post you’d like to share to social networks, then it gives a list of which networks to share to, complete with a template of how it will look.

With B2S having another hissy-fit though, I’m looking around for another social publisher.

Nelio is really easy to set up, but I’m having problems with the template.

If I go to the calender (the most obvious way to publish), I then get taken to a new post which then has to be written out, and there is no obvious way to compound this new post into a template – meaning that I’d be adding a 600 word plus message to my social media channels.

If I wanted to publish an OLD post as a tester, and then apply this old post into a template, rather than having to write a 600 words plus new post, how would I manage to do that?

The image is not showing in the post.
Even if you apply the first image insertion in the settings, it will not be reflected.
