We just received an email form a website visitor stating that subscribing to our newsletter doesn’t work. It gives the error code “Please provide a valid email address”. When I check the subscription log we have not had any new subscribers since september 02. Before that day we had multiple new subscribers every day. Another qurious thing is that noptin css is being loaded while we are using the shortcode [noptin styles=none]. Could it have been caused by the plugi update on september 03?

]]>I am running Noptin (free version) on multiple clients’ websites for simple post notification emails to their membership lists. Recently, several clients are reporting that users are getting unsubscribed without them clicking unsubscribe. All the users who this affects have Gmail accounts. All of the users without exception have said “I never clicked unsubscribe.” For several people, after re-subscribing and it working for a while, they get unsubscribed again. One user has had it happen to him four times.
First, is there any way of tracking down how this happened?
Second, is there any way of preventing it from happening?
Third… is there some sort of bug in Noptin?

]]>I have over 2300 contacts confirmed on my mailing list. All has been well using this plugin until the 12th of July. I sent a newsletter on the 12th and so far it has sent about 1200 and its still has SENDING as its stays 2 days later. I sent another newsletter on the 14th of july, 2024 and 0 has been sent so far (24 hrs later) and has SENDING as its status. Please how can this be resolved. i am running the latest version of 3.4.7
]]>When our scheduled email went out, it sent 65 times and didn’t stop until we trashed the email campaign. Another person reported something similar. I just want to put this out there for anyone else who comes across it.
The plugin was working fine, we’ve used it for over a year and now it’s not functioning properly. We’ll probably have to find a new plugin. I really like this plugin, but we can’t use it if it’s this glitchy.
The author seems to not have a solution at this time.

I tried sending my first newsletter 2 days ago (sending from a Gmail account) and I wasn’t able to keep sending it after a number of emails were sent. I have a list of about 2,500 susbscribers and it stopped about after number 300 with the following message: “Unable to send test email. Error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: (EMAIL ADDRESS): < (MY SITE)>: SASL login name rejected: Too many bounces, sender blocked. Expires: 2024-05-20 15:42:31”

]]>I installed the plugin and imported my subscriber list. I created an email (newsletter) to send out and hit publish. I chose NOPTIN subscribers which I assume would be the ones I uploaded. (the list does show up in the subscriber list.
But two hours later I have not received an email (nothing in spam either) with this newsletter that was to notify my subscribers that I have written a new article on my blog.
I think there should be a checklist provided to make sure I have completed all tasks to ensure I am receiving subscribers info and it is indeed populating my list and when I create a new article, it DOES get sent out to my entire list…
Also the privacy link on the sign up is a dead link and I don’t see a way to link it to my privacy page…

We have disabled all the plugins except this one and changed the theme to default one when php 8.2 was enabled on WP Engine and our site shows blank page only and nothing works.
We have tried to replicate on local but there it works perfectly fine.

I am very satisfied with Noptin, but now notice, after a few minor changes to the content of the automated email that is sent to Noptin subscribers every day at 7 a.m., that automatic sending no longer works. The sending settings are still correct. I get the message “supposed to be sent (number) minutes ago”. Manual sending works fine, the test email also works fine. I use the plugin: Post SMTP to send. I do not get an error message in the log of this plugin or in the log of Noptin.
I have now duplicated the campaign and then deleted the original campaign. Now things are going completely wrong! A campaign is now sent every few minutes, while the setting was (and is) once a day. Plugin now deactivated and removed to stop sending. How do I get this working again?
unsubscribe_url is not working since the last updates.
A few days ago I sent an email campaign and it seemed strange that no one unsubscribed. Then I tried the link generated in the emails and it sent me to my home page. That is, the link is generated but it does not work.

After typing my newsletter and choosing merriweather template, i clicked on preview and noticed that some letters of the last word on some lines continue to the next line. I have a page at domain.com/articlename
but when you click to select that page from the nav menu, it redirects to
domain.com/noptin-campaign/articlename
I have no idea why. That’s not the URL of the page, the plugin must be inserting it on the fly for some reason. Obviously it’s a big problem as users will get a weird looking page instead of the actual article page.
