Still a good plugin. If you get an “invalid template” message when upgrading to WP 4.0.1 with Phocrati NextGen, try removing the quotes in the tempate shortcode. e.g.
change
[nggallery id=1 template=”galleryview”]
to
[nggallery id=1 template=galleryview]

GalleryView does not work with NextGen 2.0.33. Although “View Source” reveals images in the list, they are not displayed. Downgrading to 2.0.27 solved the issue. Looks like a css problem ?

This plugin works nice but there is no admin interface in order to change some basic staff like width and height of the panel. This is the simplest i can tell you but in order to do it you have to alter the code from the gallery-galleryview.php file. This is not the most convenient and safe way to do it.
In addition it would be nice if could have control buttons that take you to the 1st or last image. If you have a gallery of 50 images you have to either click 10 times to go to the 1st or refresh the page.
Moreover, template creation would be nice. To have different image sizes and colors depending on the page or post that you want to use it.
Hope for future improvements for this potential 5 star plug in.

Just what we needed, great add-on for Nextgen! You can modify the default template, or create additional templates, by copying the gallery-galleryview.php to a /nggallery folder under your theme. Lots of options to customize the look and function of the slideshow.
