Another outstanding plugin from same developer who created Redis Object Cache Pro! The plugin is lightweight and effective for purging nginx cache, teaming this plugin with “syncthing” allows us to clear our caches across multiple servers in the pool. It’s part of our core.

Best plugin I’ve ever come across. Does the job, for free, asks nothing in return, and is insanely minimal. Till is a legend.

This plugin is the ONLY one that actually purges FastCGI cache without any impact to the website.

I have tried almost every cache plugin for WordPress during 10 years, many of them are very lightweight (which I prefer) such as WP Super Cache, Fastest Cache, Comet Cache, Cache Enabler… they are all great and work well.
(Other cache plugins like WP Rocket, Swift Performance, W3 Total Cache, Litespeed LS cache, Nitropack are too bloated imo.)
After some years I learned that actually if you have Nginx servers, and enable the FastCGI cache… you don’t need to use any “old-fashioned” cache plugins!
Immediately I was addicted to this setup… launch $5 LEMP cloud server and enable FastCGI cache in my Nginx config, and fantastic performance with no more worrying about bloated plugins and errors with cache plugins.
The problem? How to clear my Nginx cache? I was deleting the cache folder in my SSH window every time and super annoying.
I discovered the EasyEngine plugin called Nginx Helper, it was fantastic! However, some of the settings did not require in my situation so I looked more. After that I finally found Mr. Till’s Nginx Cache plugin and very lightweight…
This plugin is what I use now, very easy and no bloat. I can use this plugin for all LEMP script like WordOps, SlickStack, and Webinoly and everything in my entire server is free open source software.
Great work! And your Redis Cache plugin too, a perfect match.

For those who do not know, it is necessary to enter linux to empty the cache with a command. This plugin, which looks silly, saves a lot of time.
Thank you!

Can’t believe my eyes! I have been using SSH to flush my cache manually each time I update anything on my site, tried several plugins, tried to recompile NGINX a bunch of times as well, no success (and unable to afford NGINX Plus) for almost a year!
Installed your plugin today, August 12, 2020, on the latest WordPress 5.5 and it works!!!!!!!!
Thank you so very much ??

Good coding. Thank you

Does one thing and does it well. Nice work!
This allows me to simply use fastcgi_cache + this plugin and be done with it, versus much larger plugins like WP Super Cache.

Good plugin, it just works! Also automatic expiration when new content is posted is amazing.

Thank you to the author for this plugin, which does not need fastcgi_cache_purge.
If you get the following error:
nginx: [emerg] unknown directive “fastcgi_cache_purge”
configuring NGINX, just skip the associated code and install this plugin instead.
Still excellent in 2022, maybe you could just make a pro forma update, to show this plugin is alive? Anyway, it still works! ??

Works for page and post changes; not for site changes like title/description, but that’s so infrequent it should barely matter. Plus the purge command in the admin bar works great. Thanks!

I am sorry, but free access to the file system and/or nginx and php under the same account? Sorry, that design is only 1* for me, because I cant vote with less.

Absolutely fabulous! Was planning to write my own as I want things easy and straight forward. But no need after discovering this.

Works well in WordPress single or multi site, clearing the whole cache whenever anything changes. In WPMU you have to configure it in every blog – it would be a nice feature to allow central configuration for WPMU installations.

I’ve tried various ones, and wanted the simplest one out there.
It does what it says it will. Gives me no trouble unlike others. Thanks to the developer.

For some reason I (and others) could not get the Nginx Helper plugin to work manually (Purge Now button). This plugin is super simple, just tell it where the cache folder is and you’re good to go.
Works when posts are added, changed, or deleted. I have not tested if it clears the cache if a plugin or theme is added/updated as these can cause issues, but it’s easy enough to click the Nginx/Flush Cache menu option. Thanks!

It’s very convenient to purge nginx cache automatically.
