Novo Maps was working as normal until very recently but now it’s stopped appearing in the editor? My map still appears with all existing pins but I can’t edit any of them and if I try to add a new post, no options for novo-maps appears?

I have been using novo-map for a few years and it has been great, thank you!

I run a self hosted WP site using Multisite 6.1.1 and the Sparkling Theme

A while back we started to get a problem with a javascript error on the map rendered within the novo-map panel in the WP editor, we managed to fix that by updating the Google API allowed referrer.

But now the displayed map on the web site is not rendering. There seems to be a JavaScript error, is it a bug in the plugin?

This app is pretty sleak and unique!
Please update the app and add more stuff.

The Infobox field is not active. I can’t write any information into it.

This is also the case with earlier posts, the field is empty. However, the content contained at that time is displayed on the map itself.

I haven’t updated for several months.
So I can’t say from which update the problem occurs.

Deactivating the plugin as you described does not solve the problem:
“it was coming from the plugin “Complianz | GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent” that somehow prevent google maps script to load. So I deactivated this plugin and everything works fine now.”

I don’t seem to be able to add more than 4 markers. The location details are not saved in the post.
Is there a limit of 4?

I have a marker for a certain post (https://trail-hub.com/vosges/) that shows up two times on the map. I have used the “delete duplicates” but it still shows. I have also deleted the original marker and added it again. Still no luck.

Hi, I’m trying to troubleshoot an issue whereby my Novo-Map doesn’t appear on the published page, but it does appear OK in my admin preview.

I do have Smush enabled but it’s not doing any lazy-load of images. I have renewed my Google Maps API key but that hasn’t fixed it. I can see some errors in the Developers console, including a RetiredVersion API call error, but I can’t work out if any of them are causing the error in question.

Currently this does not work. Map shows only posts in the selected category. Posts from child categories are not shown.

Is there a way to show the map of the location on the post/article itself ? not talking about the general all locations map, but a simple one that will use the informations added on the article with the novo map custom fields. Is there a shortcode for that ?

I would like to create a novo map marker with no link. Most of them will have links but I have a request to create some markers with no links.

I created a custom taxonomy “Map Markers” and added the novo map ability to it in my Functions.php file.

Now I can add a map marker that is not related to a post but when it appears on the map it still has a link. Is there a way to disable the link so just the marker appears with the title, text, image?

This is on the post’s when I cannot edit.

I have removed as many plugins as I could to check for any conflicts.

I don’t know what much else to show to help. Everything else works except being able to add text into the infobox section.

thanks for this great plugin. I used this at a new website I created and I really loved working with it but unfortunately since some weeks the map is not shown correctly anymore.

Normally it should be shown at the start page on the right hand side next to the heading “Aktiv bei Ihnen” but now there is only a grey background.

The html element to show the map is still at its place but my browser console gives me an “Uncaught ReferenceError: google is not defined”.

Do you have an idea what could be the issue and how to solve it? Is it maybe an issue about the API key?
