Works exactly as promised. My only complaint is the review beg taking up so much real estate. Hopefully this will solve it.

This plugin is the first I’ve seen that is this beautifully shown on the front-end. It seamlessly replaces the header image with the featured posts. Clean and simple back-end. I would like it if we had the option of a boxed slider, but there are other plugins that do that. This one is amazing!

This plugin works pretty great, except for two concerns:
1. You can’t change the feature on singular items, you have to do it on the multiple list view. So if you write a new post and want to feature it, you have to publish it, go back to “All Posts”, then feature it. It needs a star above the publish/update button on singular pages.
2. This plugin doesn’t need a dedicated submenu page. It can easily add the list of checkboxes to an existing page (eg: Settings > Reading/Writing). At least it’s not a top level menu page (Settings > NS Featured Posts)

Where I am supposed to add this line of code ?
<?php $query = new WP_Query( array( ‘meta_key’ => ‘_is_ns_featured_post’, ‘meta_value’ => ‘yes’ ) ); ?>

I looked for this in the hope to make it work with Alexander Agnarson’s Hueman theme, which has featured posts using post category. Just by installing NS Featured Posts and simply changing two lines in my child-theme’s template file, I got it! Very clean. And UI is simple to understand and fast to make changes in featured posts, without having to edit or bulk edit your posts. Very nice.

Very useful plugin to list feature post in template. I find this plugin easy and different than other similar plugins because it provides option to enable/disable feature post option in page, post,etc.
