Have had a number of issues with Ocean extra, the latest is
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 10485760 bytes) (tried to allocate 4294967296 bytes) in?/homepages/44/d4297173619/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/freemius/includes/managers/class-fs-plugin-manager.php?on line?90
This appears to be a massive amount of memory to allocate.
PHP version 8.2
WP version 6.62
OCEAN – latest
I was getting error about until I upped the memory in php.ini and in wp-config.php
PHP Fatal error?Uncaught TypeError: OE_Icon_Picker_Types_Registry::add(): Argument #1 ($type) must be of type OE_Icon_Picker_Type, OE_Icon_Picker_Type_Font_Awesome given, called in /homepages/44/d4297173619/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/menu-icons/includes/library/icon-selector/icon-selector.php on line 184 and defined in /homepages/44/d4297173619/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/menu-icons/includes/library/icon-selector/includes/registry.php:75
I assume this error maybe because the objects could not be created?
Cheers Ian
Since v2.4.0 the plugin view in the dashboard is messed up for multisite installation. I tested on various sites.
Please correct this.
Thank you very much and kind regards

]]>Hello,
I’m somehat new to WP, as may become evident momentarily. Although I used to think my skills intermediate, but it’s like the more I learn, the more I don’t know.
I’m following a YouTube tutorial, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llx0HKZu-p8&t=1276s. I’m to the point at 21:18 in the video where he instructs me to download the “Ocean Extra” plugin. This plugin does NOT show up in the WP Plugins page. I tried Google and found the “Ocean Extra” plugin page on www.ads-software.com https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ocean-extra/. I downloaded the file “ocean-extra.2.3.0.zip” succesfully.
I went to the Plugins page in WordPress and tried to Upload Plugin. It displayed the error: “”The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.”.
The filesize is only 2.7MB. But I backed up the “wp-config.php” and tried to modify the “”upload_max_filesize” to 512 MB anyway. It returned the same error, exceeds max filesize. I reset the “wp-config.php” to its backup.
There are other attempts I made to try to install the plugin, including attempting to install it manually, but no dice. Sometimes when attempting to install using a .zip, the install was grayed out. Other times, I’d get the “spinning icon”, but it would timeout.
I think the problem is due to an HTTP Error – it appears to connect to the server, but it does not get an HTTP response and times out, like a 500 Error.
INFORMATION:
I apologize ahead of time if I don’t have everything, but this might help reveal what the issue is here.
Note: I tried to use the instructions for Debugging in WordPress https://developer.www.ads-software.com/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/ but couldn’t get that to work, will go thru the instructions again later.
Note: I’m attempting to use WAMP on a Win 10 PC … I’ve had other successes in my localhost using the “Blocksy” Theme and “Blocksy Companion” plugin. Everything is up to date, including OceanWP Theme.

]]>Hi,
Has there been any reports of Ocean Extra causing issues? It’s not been updated in 2 months according to my WP Admin. However, randomly today it’s broken the entire /wp-admin area.
I had to go to /wp-content/plugins and disable every plugin one by one to see which was causing Cloudflare 524 error and it turned out to be ocean-extra. After renaming this folder from ocean-extra to ocean-extra_disabled the wo-admin area loaded instant.
I then uninstalled and removed the plugin and tried to reinstall via WP Admin > Plugins > Add New Plugin searched ocean extra and “Installed” then clicking “Active” button sat loading then returned CloudFlare timeout error 524.
Is this plugin making a query or sending large data all of a sudden?
I have no errors logs in /wp-content and no root errors logged for my Hosting Provider (I’ve asked them)
I haven’t changed anything on the site in about 4 weeks just randomly broke today.

Hi,

Hi,
I have a problem with Ocean Extra in versions newer than 2.1.8 in combination with FooGallery.
Although I have deactivated the lightbox of OceanWP in the Customizer, there is still a picture overlaying my website.
The issue is most likely that there is a lightbox extension/feature that comes with Ocean Extra which was causing this. When I deactivate Ocean Extra, the FooGallery with the lightbox works fine. And with Ocean Extra 2.1.8 it works too.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance

]]>Hi,
I migrated the website to a new hosting provider. However, after the migration, I encountered an issue with the “related post” (images) section in the blog articles. The “<a href…” link appears to be functioning correctly, but the “src=”” attribute is empty. I suspect that the problem stems from old image references lingering in the extras plugin files from the previous server. It seems I’ll need to manually update these references. Could you advise me on where to locate and update these references within the extras files?
PS: reinstall plugin don’t work
Hello, my company’s website was built with OceanWP, everything worked fine. Last week i saw that google removed some of my campaigns due to internal server error 500. I started to check what was going and i saw when i inspect element of the pages of my website in the network part there was error 500 on the url of the page. I started to disable plugin one by one and refresh everytime if the response came back to be 200, and at the moment i disabled Ocean Extra it worked and my website gave response 200. I would like to understand why this plugin did this and if there is solution to enable it back. Ocean Extra version is 2.2.4

I have installed the Ocean Extra plugin version 2.2.3, when I open a page I do not see the OpenWp Settings for that page. I also do not see the upper right circular icon (as described to be a recent change for settings location)
]]>My site has been crashing regularly, over the last few days. Disabled OceanExtra 2.2.2 and it hsas stopped crashing.

Источник – wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/metabox/controls/assets/js/butterbean.min.js
]]>There is an error and I will explain later how to trigger it and a temp fix I am using. I hope you will be able to fix this.
Error log: https://pastebin.com/S4fQb5tD
How to make this error happen:
WP Admin > OceanWP > My Library > Add New
Add “HTML” block and insert this shortcode inside: [oceanwp_woo_cart total=”true”]
This should trigger the error upon saving the template.
Note that I am using an HTML block to insert a shortcode because I have more HTML elements around it, so a solution is not “switch to shortcode block” (although, I do not know if that will even work)
If not, try to apply that template in the theme:
Customizer > Header > General > Style: Medium
Customizer > Header > Social Menu > Enable > Select Template: choose the template that contains [oceanwp_woo_cart total=”true”]
Now, go back to Library, open the template and hit “Update”. The error will appear.
Temp fix:
Edit this file
/wp-content/plugins/ocean-extra/includes/shortcodes/shortcodes.php
Remove (or comment) lines 454 and 457
Save the template, then restore lines 454 and 457
Hi. Any help on that?
]]>Hi,
Most settings are handled very well to show my site styling in the editor. But I have a specific issue that I just cannot find a solution for.
Links are in a specific color (blue), but sometimes I want to make a block with that same blue color background. Links in this block need to be another color of course otherwise you cannot see them. I can handle this in the css so it looks good on the site, but in the editor the color remains the same.
I tried adding it to editor-style.css but no result.
Any advice would be welcome! Thanks
]]>We’re using OceanWP 3.5.1 (with a child-theme) + Ocean Extra 2.2.1 + Elementor 3.16.4 and the “Image gallery” metabox is not showing up when editing posts (classic editor), which did some months ago. Not sure exactly when it stopped showing up.
I did check the “screen options” but it’s not there.
I’ve looked into the Ocean Extra plugin it seems that includes/metabox/gallery-metabox/gallery-metabox.php is never included, but I might be missing something, of course.
]]>Hi,
There is a compatibility problem with the Beaver Builder plugin and the Ocean Extra plugin. A client alerted me to the fact that all pages using Beaver Builder were showing a blank page, despite having content added. When I deactivated the Ocean Extra plugin all the content came back. I’m using Ocean Extra 2.20 and Beaver Builder(Lite) 2.7.2.1. I also tried to roll both plugins back to earlier versions (at different times) but the problem still happened. I’ve had to leave the Ocean Extra plugin deactivated for now but that causes other issues with the way the site displays so would really like to find a solution to this asap.
]]>I purchased the Pro Plan and now the notification that it’s upgraded displays every time I log in and on every page I view.
How do I turn it off? I don’t need to be congratulated everytime I open a page in my backend.
]]>Hi,
I am getting the following error from ‘Security Ninja Vulnerability Scanner’ shows Ocean Extra as vularable’. I am using free version of OceanWp and Ocean Extra
”?Plugin: Ocean Extra?v. 2.2.0
Update Ocean Extra to minimum version 3.0.5
Details
The Bubble Menu WordPress plugin before 3.0.5 does not sanitize and escape some of its settings, which could allow high-privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example, in multisite setup).Read more:
I don’t see new updates for this plugin and I keep on getting this.

]]>Hey there,
i have problems with the ocean extra plug-in on our website. We are student club, who run a radio voluntary and we are all not very used to Website Buildung and staff.
So that happened: on wednesday our website looked different and certain things, like articles were missing. WordPress was telling me that the Ocean Extra Plug in has to be activated, but it couldn’t because then an error code appears. I try to figured out the problem and recognized that there was an update on the ocean extra Plug-In. Also i deativated all Plug-Ins, if there is another problem with a plug-in the ocean extra is colliding with. So all Plug-In run well, but i couldn activate the Ocean Elementor Widget (which i think was the ocean extra plugin, because there were no plug-in named ocean extra but only ocean elementor widget). So I decided to delete the Elementor WIdget Plug-In and install the new Ocean Extra Version. The Website now looks better, but the menu and also the articles are still misssing.
I dont know what the problem is, but because of the new version which came up on wednesday and that was also the day of our website-problems, i think it has to do something with each other.
If you have any tipps for me, please let me know!
Marie
