Is this plugin compatible with WordPress multisite?
Upgraded a couple of hours ago and got a WP fatal error. Had to disable via FTP. WP 6.5.2 and PHP 8.2. Stable production site.
Hi,
It seems to me that this plugin is not compatible with CookieYes – Cookie Banner for Cookie Consent (Easy to setup GDPR/CCPA Compliant Cookie Notice) anymore, at least I cannot configure the settings so that youtube would be hidden if cookies are not accepted
Hello
I have embedded pdf and audio files for training courses on my site. Unfortunately, visitors are able to download my embedded content using Internet Download Manager.
Can I use the plugin to prevent software such as Internet Download Manager from downloading my embedded pdf and audio files?
They’re just not showing up anymore with tweets. For the last week or so. Any fixes coming? Would love to keep using this plugin. Makes embedding tweets so easy for my non-skilled writers.
It would be fantastic to see this tool able to update the oembed whitelist. Adding a provider in wordpress is a significant challenge, requiring relatively advanced technical capability. A tool that could enable a site admin to add an oembed provider that they trust, without having to understand php & embed.php file would be very helpful.
Hi all,
Friends have asked me to create a website to publish their music and videos, and I don’t want to spend too much time on it and make them self-sufficient to source it. They want the media to be hosted outside of proprietary social networks (did you say GAFAM ???) and to remain under their control.
I imagined a solution where the media would be hosted on cloud storage that they would rent, with WP to create articles, publish media and these would be relayed by free social media, such as Diaspora, to allow them to ensure their communication.
I saw that Diaspora allows you to insert links from Youtube videos, Soundcloud, etc. using oEmbed technology. In my Diaspora posts, by refreshing the page, I actually saw the content displayed in addition to the link.
I looked for a solution to do the same from WP and found the “oEmbed Manager” plugin.
To test, I created a free WP here, added the plugin “oEmbed Manager”, a video media, published an article with the video in it, copied the video link, paste the link into a post from a test Diaspora account, refreshed the page and found .. . that there is no inserted content, only the link is displayed.
I looked with the “Inspector Selection Tool” in my Firefox browser.
For a video from Youtube, I have :
...

PeerTube : préparer l'alternative à Youtube - HS - Monsieur Bidouille

monsieur bidouille
-
YouTube

...
For a video from my test WordPress (article link which embed video or the video link alone), I have :
...

https://lnj-test-lmdp.byethost6.com/2021/07/04/hello-world/

...
=> so I don’t have an “oembed” tag like with Youtube
How come ?
Is it normal that it doesn’t work ?
Is there something that I am doing wrong ?
Isn’t this the role of “oEmbed Manager” ?
Regards,
lnj

I thought one feature of this plugin was allowing for adding new sites to be whitelisted or allow to embed from a particular site when added to a my site via this plugin. Am I wrong about that feature? I installed the plugin, but I don’t see any place to add new sites to whitelist for embedding. Thanks!
It seems this plugin doesn’t detect the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/cookie-law-info/). I have both plugins installed and activated but no additional exception rules are available. On the Available integrations tab there is no sign that the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin is detected.
I also have the Do Not Track Stats plugin installed and activated. This is also visible in the Available integrations tab and this plugin does add an exception rule and it works great!
Hi Pierre,
Thanks for this very useful plugin.
I’ll like to add a CSS class to the text displayed when oEmbed are blocked.
I change the content of input then save the page, the message saying that the changes are saved appears, but my changes do not seem to have been saved.
See https://gyazo.com/42d5f34b7fb8a0e9f9cac0131b73be05 to illustrate.

Hello,
really a great plugin!
I would like to use two different cookie managements: one as a banner for the general use of cookies, and one for the use of embedded content.
Is it possible to add a link to the replacement text and ask the user there for a consent to show embedded contents?
Thank you!
