Hi Joovii team,
We are having an issue where customers accidentally check out with “local pickup” selected and then we have to spend time communicating and rectifying and charging them for shipping later, delaying them receiving their products. This is not because they accidentally selected the “local pickup” option in the checkout process, but rather because the system defaults to “local pickup” if they make a typo when filling out their address or if there is some other system error during the process.
I found this same issue brought up by another user, but can see it is not resolved: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/address-matching/
Is there a setting or some code that can be changed to help with this issue? I have also personally used other website checkouts where there is a directory of addresses; when you start typing an address (eg. 3 McDonald Street), a dropdown appears with multiple options for different 3 McDonald Streets in various suburbs and states, then you just choose the correct one. Something like this could possibly help the issue if possible.
Any advice would be helpful to improve our efficiency.
Thanks!

How can you still publish an ‘official’ plugin that is not following best practice and latest coding?
And NO, up selling to your paid plugin is not a solution
]]>Hi team,
Not sure what is causing this, but it appears to be a recent issue. This is appears at the bottom of the customers Thank You Page / Order Received once they have orderred or when they go in to review their order;
Error in Posting shipment to sendle api :: Array ( [messages] => Array ( [sender] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [contact] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [name] => Array ( [0] => can’t be blank ) ) ) ) ) ) [error] => unprocessable_entity [error_description] => The data you supplied is invalid. Error messages are in the messages section. Please fix those fields and try again. )
If we look at the Woocommerce Order from the backend, we see the following message in the ‘Sendle Shipment Options’ box;
Sendle Order Status: yet to post
There seems to be error while submiting please create shipment once more.
Any ideas why this could be happening?
Thanks
]]>Hey Joovi,
Sendle has had some pricing changes in the past month, and since then, weve had an issue relating to the cost of shipping one of our items timber kitchen boards – Large (from Everyday Gourmet).
For example, the cart will quote shipping at AUD $32.76 for Northgate QLD 4103, but then we will be charged AUD$41.24?in Sendle.
It’s happened a few times and we want to stop it from eating our profits. When I contacted them, they referred me back to you. Hope you can help!
Cheers

]]>Hello, I tried to change the sendle settings so that it won’t create a shipping label automatically. However, when I go to Woocommerce -> Sendle settings. It is blank. There is no longer any option there to change.

Can someone help please?
]]>So I have installed the Sendle plug-in and for any International orders it throws up this error:
Array
(
[status] => 400
[error] => Bad Request

Which is a completely useless error message. Local shipments in Australia work fine.
I have stepped through the order details manually based on the information in the log and the Sendle order will raise without issue.
So any clues?

We want to update paypal tracking data. For now we have to do manually by checking with Sendle dashboard.
Please see and share your thoughts.

Hi I noticed that the plugin had the logs enabled so I have deactivated this.
the pluign is causing the biggest databsae on the site:
wp_sendlelogs
Known plugins that use this table name:
official-sendle-shipping-method
5,340,807 – records
747.00 MB0 – database size
when I deactivated the logs it didnt give me a option to optimise the database.
Is there a way to optimise the database?

]]>Hi – is the plugin compatibles with the official Woocommerce Product Bundles plugin? When using this plugin, the Sendle option in the checkout is not available when ordering a bundled product. All the component products have weight added in the backend. Thanks
]]>Two parts to this but if you could let us know if we can expect these updates & any timeframes that would be great.
1. Will this plugin get an update to support displaying the discounted prices through Sendle’s new Send & Save feature? Currently the prices displaying at checkout are the base prices and I would like to be able to pass these savings onto customers.
2. Will there also be an update to support WooCommerce’s High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)? This is one of few plugins I am waiting to be compatible.
]]>Hi there,
Just want to check, does this plugin support shipping class?
we want to set $0 cost for “free-shipping” shipping class products, for other shipping class products, we will use the Sendle shipping rate.
Is it possible to do it? if not, is there a workaround method you could recommend?
Also, in the Shipping zones-> Shipping method setup (the place you can turn on/off the Sendle shipping method for shopping cart), when click the Sendle shipping method, the Popup window shows an empty area, there is only a title called “Sendle Settings” and a “Save changes” button, no way to change the shipping method display name. For the Woocommerce default “flat rate” shipping method, you will have some options, but for this Sendle shipping method, it has nothing in the popup window.
Is this supposed to be? or I have something missing?
thank you!
]]>Hello. I’m developing my first store for an Australia-based business, and while we managed to make the Sendle plugin work just as intended, and the rates were calculated correctly, I noticed something of a problem.
If the customer makes a typo while typing in the city name (eg. “High Gate” instead of “Highgate” for postcode 6003, or “Leaderville” instead of “Leederville” for postcode 6007) then the API does not return a rate and throws an “address mismatch” error.
But that error message is never displayed in the cart or checkout pages because the store also has the local pickup option enabled, so instead of seeing both Sendle and pickup options, the customer only sees the pickup option.
And even if I removed the pickup option, Woocommerce would throw the “no shipping rates found” error message. Perhaps the plugin should display a more user-friendly message indicating that it is only the address that is wrong? Or better yet, why not ignore the city altogether and use only the postcode in calculations?
Disabling the “Enable address match”option in the plugin does nothing, by the way.

]]>Hi,
We have switched couriers over to Sendle, but are having issues with the parcel size and weight. While the Plugin appears to be providing live quotes OK, the package size and Weight isn’t showing in the Sendle Dashboard, when we click ‘Send Parcel’. We are forced to manually add the weight and dimensions?
Further more, we are getting the following error in the Woocommerce Order, in the ‘Sendle Shipment Options’ field;

There seems to be error while submitting please create shipment once more.
Please can you help us get this working as we will soon have a backlog of orders we cannot process.

Trying to figure out the process to allow the buyer to add insurance to their order to cover shipping? Can anyone help with this please.
Sendle has this set at $1.95 per extra $100 you want to cover, this week we had a order go missing worth well over $600 and now really want to get this extra insurance working.

Hi there, great job with the plugin – thank you!
Is there a way to automatically set the status to complete in Woocommerce AFTER the item is delivered? The order isn’t technically complete at the time it is shipped so it is sending the customer 2 separate emails right now (1. Note added to order with Sendle tracking number, 2. Your order is complete).
I prefer to consider the order complete after it is sent because my automated review is triggered 5 days after the order is fulfilled (which would make sense after it is delivered).
Also, do you have a plugin for Australia Post?
Thanks so much!
]]>Hi we are using the Sendle WooCommerce plugin and all seems to be working well.
We have set the pickup delay to 2 days which works during the week with no issue. Is there anyway to set if an order comes in on a Friday, Sat, or Sunday that it is picked up Tuesday?
Currently, orders that come in on a Saturday are set for pickup on Monday.
Thanks

]]>Sendle also supports Canada but the plugin only allows you to choose USA and Australia. Can you add Canada to the list of available Pickup Countries

Is is possible to setup multi warehouse option with Sendle in WooCommerce. I currently see a blank popup when I click edit link of Sendle in shipping zones.
Kindly suggest how to go about this?
]]>Hello there,
I am using your Sendle Shipping Plugin for WordPress. Appreciate your excellent work!
Our website is live and it seems to be working fine, but I have one issue regards to the Pickup day.
I have received the following error:
Order Error byfn [orderid:7576] :: Array ( [messages] => Array ( [pickup_date] => Array ( [0] => Must be a business day and at least one business day in the future. ) ) [error] => unprocessable_entity [error_description] => The data you supplied is invalid. Error messages are in the messages section. Please fix those fields and try again. )
It seems Sendle does not allow booking a pickup from a non-business day, which makes sense.
Some of my related configurations on the Sendle configuration page:
“Book Shipment on”: Order Submit
“Select pickup days delay”: 2
So I would like to book the shipment upon order submission automatically.
I thought your plugin will be automatically calculated the N business day in advance from today (N is the value entered in the “Select pickup days delay” field)
So, could you confirm if your plugin will automatically calculate the pickup day? (so the weekends or holidays can be skipped?)
What I want to achieve is when people place an order on Friday for example, the system can automatically book a shipment to Sendle and let Sendle pick it up from our warehouse on Monday.
Are we already doing that? maybe I have missed something or the configuration?
More thoughts about this:
If during Christmas or the National Holidays, are we able to skip those holidays and book a working day for Sendle to pick up? I am not sure how to achieve this, sounds like we need to find a way to know the working days on Sendle.
Maybe we could have a re-try function, firstly send the booking to Sendle, if Sendle replies with “invalid Pickup day” error message, we can add one more day on top of the current pickup day and resubmit the shipment to Sendle, do this until we have received a Success response?
I am looking forward to your reply. Thank you!
Regards,
]]>
