Hi, firstly thanks for the plug-in.
My question is, is it possible to use this plugin to display something if the condition is not met, such as the example I have put below. Thanks
[optional_content type=’GET’ value=’xxx=yes’]
Condition Met
[else]
Condition not met

]]>Hi,
I would like to use this plugin to allow displaying of certain slides or whole slide shows in a J Query slider at certain times of the day.
I want the advertising slides or such to show in rotation at a certain hour(s) of the day.
Is this possible? If so can you provide an example I can play with?
I’m using Anything slider, Nivo, and Jcycle sliders.

]]>Thank you for this great plugin.
Currently content only shows when a condition is met. However I would like to hide content when a condition is met.
For example I don’t want some content displaying if there is no paramter in the URL – is this possible ?
Also a hide when parameter present would also be useful otherwise I will have to use conditional PHP.

]]>Nice plugin,
It would be great if you enable nested shortcodes so we could use shortcodes inside the main shortcode by simply replacing the last line in the plugin file from :
return $content;
to
return do_shortcode($content);

]]>Using the Optional Content plugin.
I know how to select a (single) specific user only using this plugin… I want to select more than one specific user only. (For example, I would like to select three specific users to see the content – user ID’s: 1, 17, 32)
I would think it’s gotta be possible I just don’t know how and can’t seem to figure it out.
*This could be useful info for those who don’t have the plugin:

Thanks,
Tony
I installed the Optional Content plugin and I want to display specific content for a specific user.
When using the plugin, I clicked the [i] button in my toolbar, then clicked ‘Only to specific user’ and then chose the username (example: bob45 – user id is (6)). Then I click OK and the following appears in my visual editor:
[optional_content type=” ]
Content here
[/optional_content]
I asked someone about it and they said it seems like it’s broken because it used to work and now it’s not working for them either.
Could someone please help me?
