Looking at the Overwrite It plugin I see that it may be affected by https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/39550 which was introduced at WordPress 4.7.2

overwrite it with “Postie”

hello,

i like your plugin !! it works very good.

only when a plugin I use “postie” wants to put a file with the same name, (attachment.pdf) in uploads, it does not overwrite. (number added).
