Hi,
Thank you for the plugin first of all great work.
I am creating a page with different section and have section or container at the tob with button anchor text link to different css id of each section below.
The header is sticky and button section is sticky too.
The problem is the anchor links scroll the section and it ends up behind the header and buttons section.
I want to add an offset these section so that they would be in veiwport.
I have tried this CSS:
#sectionID {
display: block;
position: relative;
top: -180px;
}
but it did not work.
I appreciate any help! And please forgive for my English.
When i click in my menu nothing happen. can you pls help me ?
I have set everything custom links & CSS ID
]]>Hi there,
I’m having an issue with the plugin hopefully you can help with.
I’ve added a menu to the top of the page linked above so that visitors can easily scroll to the correct section using the plugin. I’ve added the anchor links with the plugin in WPBakery Page Builder using the buttons in the WYSIWYG editor (i.e. not shortcodes) with no extra settings included (classes etc.).
For some reason when I click the link the smooth scroll is not working it shoots directly to the section. It’s only when I scroll back up and click the link again that the smooth scroll works.
Do you have a solution for this?
Many thanks,
M.
]]>The plugin is great, but there is an issue on the home page and it seems like it is caused by the fact that the home page has no /slug.
On regular pages, there is a /slug/#scrolltoelement – and it works perfectly.
But on the home page which in my case is https://havfuglen.no – when I click on the scroll element it echoes: https://havfuglen.no/#scrolltoelement – and nothing happens.
I found another topic here where a person described the same problem:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/problem-to-scroll-menu/
Your response was:
Try this:
1.Go to plugin settings and click the “Reset to default” button at the bottom.
2.Enable “Prevent other scripts from handling plugin’s links” option and add the following value to “Prevent other scripts from handling plugin’s links selector(s)” option field:
a[href*='#']:not([href='#'])
Click “Save Changes”.
3.Edit your site’s
wp-config.php
file (e.g. via FTP. It is in the site’s root directory) and add the following code anywhere above the “/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */” code:
define('PS2ID_MINIFIED_JS', false);
Save the file and let me know so I can test it again.
I did all of these steps and it is still not working.
How to work around this?
Hi there!
I’m facing a scroll issue with Elementor on the page linked above.
There are multiple buttons linking to one CSS ID #pricing1
When clicking the button it works the first time but after click other buttons it jumps up and down.
Please advise or let me know if you need more info/video etc.
PS: I did check Checkbox “Prevent other scripts from handling plugin’s links”
]]>As the title says, initial scroll to id works fine but it keeps snapping back to the anchor point once the user scrolls away.
Seems related to Using Page scroll to id with Elementor | www.ads-software.com – I tried adding the highlight selectors and script selectors as you recommended there
It works fine on desktop, but the bug is persistent on mobile safari and chrome. I use elementor pro + the Astra theme
]]>Hello, thank you for making this plugin!
I have trouble getting it to work on desktop. But it does work on mobile.
Already tried deactivating the cache plugin. And I selected “Prevent other scripts from handling plugin’s links”.
Any other ideas?
]]>When coming from another page, the page massively overshoots. For example, if you start at https://almondhillhouse.com/ and use the menu item ‘Bedrooms’ you will see it loads the page and then massively overshoots the anchor tag which is in the title section called ‘Bedrooms’. However, if you use the link at the top of this page: https://almondhillhouse.com/your-stay where it says ‘BEDROOMS’ it scrolls successfully.

]]>Hi malihu,
quick question. I have ‘scroll from/to different pages‘ enabled.
When I click on a link with an anchor on a page and the new page is loaded, by default the browser loads it at the anchor position, and I guess when the JS loads in, the plugins functionality kicks in jumps the page to the top, and then smooth scrolls to the anchor.
Is there a way when navigating from an anchored link to have it load the page at the top, so I don’t have this jumping around?
(‘The remove the URL hash‘ option is also a no go, since it only removes the hash after the page and plugin has loaded)
Cheers,
Mate
Hi Malihu,
Could you please help me to debug issue with Offset parameter. I have page with anchor on the top of the page (Najít, co pot?ebujete). When I set #header-sticky as offset it didn’t work properly. The offset doesn’t correspond to the height of the sticky header. I use positioning for sliding effect (top: -90px for hiding and margin-top: 90px to show up the sticky header). I tested this issue with top: 0 and no margin and it works. I guess it has something to do with positioning.
Thank you for your help.

dear malihu,
thanks for your plugin.
i am using it on several sites, but cannot figure out how to setup the css properly for highlighting.
the websites are one page sites (built with generatepress) with anchor links, which should change color on scrolling and jumping to sections. the “active” section should stay highlighted.
i can see the ps2id classes but dont know how to call the right attribute.
i tried e.g. (and many other versions ??
#primary-menu .main-nav a.__mPS2id-highlight {
color: #FBBE4D;
}
#sticky-navigation a.__mPS2id-highlight {
background: #FBBE4D;
}
please help! thanks!

]]>Link is: url/#hash
Link target is data-fake-id=”#hash” and opening that toggle.
toggle content has the id=”hash”
It works on the same page – but from different page linking directly to that toggle ID does not work the wanted way. It scrolls to that position but does not open the toggle – hampering that event.
i disabled that plugin for now on that page – because the customer wants working link in the meantime.
]]>We are encountering an issue with the scroll accuracy with this “Page scroll to id” plugin. When navigating through the site and clicking on menu links, which are sticky, the page scrolls to the respective sections accurately, aligning perfectly with the starting point of each section.
check these screenshots for the reference:https://prnt.sc/Rd6E-_06usAs
However, the problem arises when the same links are opened in a new tab using the mouse. In these instances, while the page navigates to the correct section, the scrolling behavior is inconsistent. Some sections’ top parts are hidden under the menu, resulting in a less-than-optimal user experience.

We are reaching out to seek guidance on potential setting adjustments or any other solutions that can rectify this scrolling inconsistency.
Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as it impacts the usability and navigation experience of our website.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi!
The main CTA button from my menu (“Agende uma demonstra??o”) is targeting this element ID: #form2
But everytime i click, the scroll brings me to different places.
Could you help me with that?
Thanks!

]]>Hi there!
I noticed that the drop down scroll doesn’t seem to be working correctly. I have a Table of Contents on the left side of all of my posts and instead of it taking you to the correct section it just scrolls you to the top. I deactivated the plugin and the links are working correctly (it just jumps instead of scrolling). Anyone else experiencing this? The WordPress Support requested I post something here to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
Hi, i have installed plugin, i use VPBAkery composer.
My menu is mixed, some voice are with anchor text on home page, and some voice are pages, example:
“About-Us” is a page, “Services” is a block on home page (i have put id: #service)
when i go to the page “About US” in this page is impossible by menu to go to “Service” on home page.
I see a link is like this: https://xxxx.com/about-us/#service
the correct link must to be: https://xxxx.com/#service for to work
I have try in menu to put: “/#service” and not #service, it work but change color in menu like is pressed.
Is possibile with this plugin solve it?
]]>I know there is a specific plugin to disable other plugins, but it would be interesting if your plugin could contain something like this.
Is it more complex than I imagine?
I just want to disable it on LPs and Home.
When I select a link on the “Scroll” menu from another page, it jumps to the section, then scrolls up for the offset. Is it possible to jump straight to the position without scrolling the offset?
]]>Hi,
When I click on the header menu links(who, buy, contact) from a subpage and get directed to the home page, the scroll positions are totally off. And also it does not seem to be the same offset value for each anchor?
Thanks for the help!

Felix
If you scroll to an anchor on a page, right now the URL of the anchor DOES NOT CHANGE. The intended behaviour should be, when you click on an anchor, it will show the #anchor in the page url as well, so that when you share the page with someone, he/she is able to see exactly the same like you do.
]]>Hi there! Building a site and have an anchor with an offset. The offset setting seems to not be working as I have set it to multiple numbers and the page keeps going to the direct anchor point with no offset. Please help! Thanks!
]]>I consider the plugin a brilliant gadget, and it works perfectly on the desktop version, but it functions only partially on the mobile version. Links don’t get highlighted at all, or they only highlight when I hit the one specific point that triggers them.
I would be grateful to the author if they could take a look at my test website and tell me what I am doing wrong. It’s enough to resize the browser window to mobile size, and the problem appears.
Hi,I used your plugin and it works beautifully for slowing down the scroll speed from one container to another. I have another use on the same website for a different page that requires an even slower speed of scrolling. Is that possible? Thanks
]]>Hi there Malihu! I hope you are doing great ??
I built this website using the “Horizontal Scroll” widget by Element Pack. What I want to do is to anchor link the sticky button “Get in Touch” to the last section of the website (with the contact form) but I haven’t been succesful.
Can you help me with this?
Thank you very much ??
]]>Hi,
First of all, congratulations on your work!
Whatever the settings, I always come up with the same problem: the offset is not respected when the page and animation are loaded and the page reloads a second time just to get it right …
I enter my URL…./#my-id and the page and animation load without respecting the 100px offset (because of a fixed menu).
I then move the mouse over the page and the page reloads by itself from the top and the animation works again exactly like I wanted it to.
So the page loads twice, the first time without respecting the offset and the second time perfectly just respecting the offset.
What can I fix in the plugin or in my template?
Many thanks
Fabrice
