The plugin works as it says. I have a suggestion: can you add a functionality so that when users UNCHECK a parent category, all its child categories are UNCHECKED automatically?

A native-like experience.

… it also unchecks the parent category if you uncheck a child even if there are other childs of that parent that are still checked.
This seems like a bug to me.

Some actions on my posts are triggered with use the parent categories (if in_category() …). I forgot to set the parent category so many times, but that’s over now… ??

Helps keep our users/authors in line. Does exactly what it needs to do by highlighting the parent category when selecting a child. Thanks!

Thanks for the plugin! Nice and simple, love it. Small bug that I noticed, it doesn’t work under “Most Used” tab. It would be great if it worked there also.

does the simple thing than most human users forget to do, love a simple thing that simply works, and you can still uncheck the parent category!

This is an incredibly useful, yet simple plugin: just activate and it works – also with custom post types and also in WPMU!
Great, thanks a lot.

Thank the author. [Expletive deleted] the ridiculous mechanism of WordPress.

Funciona perfectamente con un poco de jQuery y soluciona el antiguo problema de seleccionar la categoría/taxonomía superior al guardar un post
