It stopped working on my 2 hostings, and support doesn’t provide a solution.

It has conflicts with UM plugin, making it useless (page/post is visible by any means regardless tier is selected).

Once installed, this plugin will permanently display this nag screen in your WP Admin, no matter how often you dismiss it:
Did Patreon WordPress help your site? Help creators like yourself find out about it?by giving us a good rating!
If I find an alternative plugin I’ll use that, if only to finally get rid of this nag displaying on top of every page of my WP Admin.
Other than that: very basic plugin, but does what it says. Sync is very, very slow though …
Not sure I’ll ever go Pro on this plugin. Very put off by the constant nag and basic and crude functions of this plugin.
Also very confused about the 2 upgrades and what the actual difference is. Never did get a clear response.

As far as integrating Patreon and WordPress, it does as the package says, simply and quickly. The problem comes with the post-sync. I don’t have many Patreon posts currently, yet it still takes 3-5 manual clicks of the import button to get the latest post to sync, and with each sync taking several minutes to complete/fail, the time ads up quickly.

Good extension for WordPress if you want extend and manage your patreon content to your wordpress website!

It works! I haven’t had a problem with the plugin so far (knock on wood). Since WordPress updates its versions, this plugin needs to be compatible with each update.

Plugin works great for locking Patreon content but it has an issue where it locks out your ENTIRE site’s design/layout as it views ALL Elementor formatting as post content, which produces an ugly, format-less “Unlock page.” It needs a way to customize the lock page and meessage.
Also, there is no option for existing Patrons to login in. The “Unlock” button directs visitors to a checkout page where your lowest tier is in the cart by default, which is another problem. Even new Patrons are not given a choice to select the tier they want to purchase.
What a mess.

“Hides the content”
*unless the user happens to clear their cache.
Basically this plugin was developed by someone who had already given their 2 week notice at Patreon and just phoned it in. Maybe get a real developer to work on this?

The base plugin and paid add-on have terrible UX.
All the plugin documentation is in Dropbox Paper files, which is hard to locate. The developer docs are not maintained. There is a forum, there is some support there… although many promised features do not materialise.
The terrible UX continues on the premium plugin support forum, it extremely hard to lodge a support request.
The plugin is not able to connect multiple sites to Patreon. This means that if you operate a local, staging, and production environment only one site can be connected to Patreon.
Overall, the plugin works but leaves a lot to be desired. It does the heavy lifting to connect WordPress and Patreon, very little else.
If you are comfortable working with APIs then I recommend you spin up your own solution.

I bought two licences for the Pro plugin this summer to shield some parts on my website. I had some annoying issues. First one was that one of my websites got VERY slow. I asked support, but no luck. I had to figure it out myself.
Second issue is translating the plugin. Most of it is possible, but not via the normal way: you have to translate in the plugin itself. So LocoTranslate doesn’t work.
I can work with that – it’s a slow and annoying way to do it though – but one sentence can’t be translated. Well: it’s the one that shows when you lock a post for non-patreons. Yup… quiete crucial.
The reply of the support: Well… just hire a programmer to fix it.
Yes… that’s the support you get when you buy two licences.

I had outdated error due to bad configuration but I think it works. It is a shame there is no proper way to test it (sandbox mode).

Works perfectly for me and I love to create Patreon only content on my site popmuzik. So this plugin has helped me a lot.

Was a bit afraid after reading the mixed reviews, but so far I couldn‘t find anything wrong with this plugin, after using it for a while now.
I absolutely love how this plugin connects your Patreon and your website. To me this is one of the best plugins I ever used and I‘m happy Patreon created it!
If you‘re a creator on Patreon and want to connect your site to your Patreon, you‘ll love this plugin ??

Smooth installation and a great service to our Patreons.

This plugin isn’t very flexible and doesn’t have much flexibility for deep restriction of post sections on a site that is built for both patron and public use.

I tried out this plugin, but realised it does synchronisation only in one direction, i.e. you write on Patreon and the content is pushed to WordPress.
I would have needed the reverse.

I was excited to find a plug-in that would allow me to build content for my blog as I raise some money to support the process. So, I created a creator account in Patreon and activated this plug-in. The first attempt to connect worked great. I was ready to go live, but I wanted to change the pricing, so I went into Patreon to change the tier pricing and that worked fine. However, the pricing didn’t change in the plug-in in wordpress. I tried a few things, which probably made the problem worse, so I contacted patreon support. The support team responded quickly to tell me that Patreon doesn’t support the WordPress plug-in and that I would have to go to the development community to see if they could help. I decided to cancel my account because I need reliable support for a product that can work fine until you make a change. Furthermore, my site is a blog in which I interact a lot with my followers. I won’t have the time to constantly deal with problems using this plug-in. Basically, I don’t trust the plug-in.

The goal does not change in the widget.
I change goal on patreon. But it does not change in the widget
I tried to reconnect the site. But every time the message appears: Sorry, couldn’t disconnect your site before reconnecting it
How to fix it?

I use this in conjunction with Toocheke Premium to run webcomics and other things on it.
The ONLY thing that works is the logins.
It won’t migrate posts after the first couple of times and the forum was no help in figuring out what was going on. They are not very responsive to anyone.

This plugin has no ability to import or sync audio or images from Patreon posts. You’d have to do it manually, including featured images, defeating the whole purpose of integration. Unless you’re creating all-text blog posts, do not waste your time. Regret the hours I can never get back. If you’re going to use patreon, you have no choice but to send your users to Patreon’s site or use something like Memberful or maybe Paid Memberships Pro w/plugins.

Pointless api / plugin.
Top 3 Drawbacks (in the name of constructive feedback)
1. Doesn’t automatically import Patreon posts into WP. You must always do it manually through the plugin settings in WP.
2. When importing works, it does NOT import videos or pictures. You must manually add those yourself after import by copy/pasting it from your Patreon for each post one by one.
3. Doesn’t give option to add url link back to original Patreon post. If you’re NOT going to import videos or pics, AT LEAST have a link back to the original post on our Patreon page. Otherwise, you’re just importing words without the visuals which add CONTEXT to our posts.
Other important issues to note:
4. Doesn’t have bulk edit settings for all the posts imported.
5. Should included some form of a simple Patreon logo/button automatically included with each post (it’s FREE marketing for them and increases visibility for Patreon-exclusive content)
Basically, this doesn’t save you time or energy, it just gives you more work to do. It’s a shame because the idea or intention behind this api plugin is good, but the execution is TERRIBLE.
Wouldn’t recommend till devs address, fix and include at least those top 3 issues.
The only thing it did for me was import ALL my Posts from Patreon. I guess that counts for 1 star. Another star for their support time turn-around (usually within 24-48 hrs), but they do speak very techy, I just wish they made it simpler for us not programmers / devs to understand their jargon.
I hope they resolve those issues soon.

This plugin has been working really well for me, the only thing I miss is to exclude specific tiers from having access to a post.

Very cool way to monetize content. We are using the plugin on Netmix.com to offer radio stations a spot in our new online directory. They can choose a level of giving that matches their organization’s size. It’s a pretty neat system.

The plugin works as expected and I recommend it to anyone using Patreon as a paywall or as a way to support your art. Real game-changer for me.
It’s constantly being updated and bugs are being fixed. Good contact with the developers.
