with the latest WordPress update, the empty space right below the pullquote became a bit bigger. Is there any way to reduce the space between the pullquote and the text?

is it possible to create color gradient for the vertical bar?

I am using this shortcode:

[perfectpullquote align="full" color="#128C7E" size="22"] Text[/perfectpullquote]

I also have the css code for the color gradient:

div {
    background: linear-gradient(to bottom, #cc3300 55%, #00cc00 100%);
}

However, I would like to use different gradients for different pullquotes.
My question: Is it possible to connect the css code with a single Perfect Pullquotes-shortcode?

Hello, your plugin is great! and have been using it for a long time

But it is no longer working on multiple sentences structure

So this works

But this does not
[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]I didn’t understand it. It was visually interesting to me but it felt to me like data about things that had already happened, That’s not that exciting to me, but the visual of it was exciting. And then watching people engage with it in that room was exciting because there were people who were excited about it. It felt to me like it was supposed to be almost like some entertainment the first time I saw it.

It felt to me like a distraction, being able to see real-time changes was cool. . . But then I’m like, well what’s the point? the data may be true but it’s really not useful, you know what I mean?[/perfectpullquote]

My pull quotes are all working great on my site when viewed on a desktop computer, but on mobile devices the quotes are getting cut off the side of the screen. Is there any CSS code I should use to make it mobile friendly?

Hi Adam,

I love the functionality of your plugin… very nice work.

However, I think that the semantics are not correct. For pull-quotes, blockquote tags should not be used. Instead, html5 “aside” tags should be used, since pull-quotes are outside the flow of the body text, and may be repeated sections from the body text.

And similarly, this one: https://htmldog.com/techniques/pullquotes/

In the second case, the author uses a blockquote tag inside of an aside tag, which doesn’t seem ideal to me, but it would be acceptable.

Will you consider updating your plugin to reflect these semantic distinctions?

Love the plug-in, I use it a ton. Only one quick question. is there a way to set default settings such as the color? I have a given color I like to use for my page, but I end up needing to go back and edit a previous post so I can copy the color code and then paste it in the new post. Is there a way to set it as a default color so I don’t have to do that every time?

Could you please make an option to copy the text into the pull quote instead of actually moving it? There are times the box is not perfectly aligned with the preceding text so moving the sentence into the box breaks the continuity of the reading. I would like to highlight certain parts of the article but I also would like to keep the original text.

I followed the directions listed but the Hex code is not working. Also, perhaps I left something out but I dont see the “line on side” showing up either ?

I noticed in perfect-pullquotes.css:

@media screen and (min-width: 769px) and (max-width: 992px)
@media screens and (max-width: 768px)

Does Pullquote resize OK within all of the Media Queries in twentyfifteen style.css?
(Mobile large min 620px up to Desktop X-Large min 1403px).

Looks like the Cite is giving two hyphens before the pull quote authors name. (Also, I can’t seem to get the bar color to change; my theme is “Twenty Sixteen”).

I publish my posts in 14-point type. When I add a pullquote with your plugin, it reduces the paragraph in the text that follows the quote from 14 to 12-points!

Can you please delete the letters ‘fn’ in the following line of citation code from the perfect-pullquotes.php

$citeText = ‘<span itemprop=”name fn”>’.strip_tags( $a[‘cite’] ).'</span>’;

The fn creates a lot of errors in the Structured Data section of Google Webmaster Tools as ‘fn’ is not recognized. By simply dropping the fn, it fixes the whole problem. I.e.

$citeText = ‘<span itemprop=”name”>’.strip_tags( $a[‘cite’] ).'</span>’;

I have in the past amended the CSS file for the pullquotes but now i cannot see the ‘SETTINGS’ button. All i can see is ‘DEACTIVATE’

Is there a reason for this or has where i can change the CSS file changed?
